Kinda discovered this place by mistake, but I will stick around if you do not mind...

Briefly... grew up with an Austin Healey Sprite in the family, been interested in the little Mazda since they came out (I was in high school at the time). My dad has had a white '92 since 1995-ish and finally convinced me to pick up a red '90 in February. Spent the last year remembering how to drive a slow car fast, plan to spend most of the next one making it faster. :)

my first car was a 1961 sprite. na's are very evocative of being 16 years old driving around in a bugeye (especially at night with the headlights up). i thought for years if it doesn't leak oil it can't be any fun.

Thanks for the warm welcome, gents!

@Eunosbaby, currently residing on the Eastern Shore... at least until I can relocate to a less backwardsville area.

@portabull, I grew up riding around in the Sprite (sadly not a bugeye). I would like to have a Sprite (or a 100-6) of my own one day, but the Miata definitely conjures similar feelings (while being way more reliable and miles easier to work on when something does go squirrelly).
