Every year in May hundreds of MX5 Roadster (Miata) owners travel from all over Japan for this huge gathering of Roadsters in a resort town about 3 hours northwest of Tokyo called Karuizawa (Nagano Prefecture). Sponsored by the (RCOJ) Roadster Club of Japan and Mazda in Japan, there is probably no other Miata Meeting bigger than this anywhere in the world. If you ever have the chance to go to this event it is sure not to disappoint. :domo:

In speaking with Hamajima-san recently, he says they are expecting well over 1000+ Roadsters (Miatas) to attend this year , pray for no rain this year!!

Hope to have some more photos and news on this shortly for you guys. :slayer:

This almost justifies a trip to japan for me. Almost.

This almost justifies a trip to japan for me. Almost.

The vendors and swap meet of rare parts justifies it for me

Before the economic collapse I had set up a group tour with the same guys running the TAS tour every year, but I scrubbed the plans. I'll have to save up and go one of these days for sure, its on my bucket list. I know a couple guys on this forum are going next year (and one this year) and I was talking with them about meeting up in LAX, just depends where I'm at next year.

One of our customers (Mr. Kuga) had sent us some pics from the Karuizawa Meet 2012. We have been waiting for something, anything about this since it's Project-G's debut in Japan.

From the looks of things, it was an awesome turnout. 599-NA, 285-NB, 238-NC for a total of 1,122!

We were informed there was a lot of good feedback and interest in the G-String. The biggest question was, "Can we buy this in Japan?"

Mr. Fukuda from Mazda Motor Corp. Checking out the G-String! We were told both he and Mr. Hayashi (the one who designed the NB interior) were especially interested in it. Mr. Kuga says he thinks Mr. Hayashi will own a G-String soon. :slayer:

That's pretty awesome news! Finally, something the Japanese want to order from the US rather than the other way around. ;)

Anyway, congratulations on your debut in the land of the rusing sun. (where's that :toast: smiley when I need it?).

For the untrained eye, that's your super cool "Bikini Bar" kit for Miatas without a roll bar I see on the green Miata...

Cool guerrila display there. I heard one can get a pretty good talking to for not being registered as a vendor there.

Thanks guys! Making it to Japan has always been something we have been hoping for. This event has seemed to open up some doors for us over there, so now it's just a matter of making something of it. We know it's largely in part because of the awesome Miata community we are a part of. You guys rock!

And nary a hellaflushbrodawg car or Monster sticker in sight, but with still more diversity than a U.N. meeting. Love it!:cry2:
