The 8" TE37's are a 5kg each. My old 6.5" ones are 4kg but who's counting. The old ones were a fantastic wheels, but when I saw JonB's mariner blue NA running 8" ones I wanted the larger size. I've had them for the best part of a year. I couldn't decide if the red accents would be okay with the yellow, so I left them in the box until I felt happy with it. When I saw a yellow S2000 on the net with the same wheels that convinced me.
No rubbing but I've rolled the fenders and modified the front inner liners.

Yes. I'll get better pictures of the trunk and post more detail. The fit isn't great, I think the edges require some finessing. The trunk sat higher than the stock one when I installed it, but I am unwilling to adjust my hinges at the moment as they have never been undone, and I don't want to crack the original paint.

My Alterna trunk was purchased cheaply on Yahoo, brand new but damaged on the corners. A cheap damaged one was ideal for me as I intend to customize it so as to look similar to a GHO trunk. I've also painted my GV Nostalgic Tails and hope to test fit them soon too. I didn't spend much time on preparing and painting, as these new aero parts are not really for this car. I've been looking for what seems like forever for a Eunos S-Limited or an R-Limited to build myself a Pit Crew Roadster. But it appears that there aren't any around in Australia. Years ago you were allowed to import them, but now the door is closed. I'll just keep trying to find parts for the build at the moment.

Madaboutmx5s is now building my dream mx5. It appears that he will probably finish it, drive it around, and then sell it, before I even get started. I'l be watching the build with interest. Love your work James.

I thought so at first as well, but after adjusting the hood numerous times it still has a gap on the passenger side. Hard to see in the picture but the fender to headlight gap is pretty small, so that tells me it is the headlight cover. I think the reason it isn't bending is due to the Moss Lopro washers included in the kit being to wide. Restricts adjustment range and probably even caused it to be pushed towards the fender. Going to try a smaller washer and then try to get it a little closer.

Good eye! The mudflaps still need to be trimmed due to the rear lip, before I can put them back on. The spoiler I am currently undecided whether to put it back on or not. I really like how clean the rear looks without it.

If I was going to do a spoiler I'd get the duck tail trunk lid with the duck tail molded into it. Very tasty looking.

its actually a hard dog m1 sport with harness bar so it does not work with a glass soft top. It is now sold and I will be ordering a GT3 Blackbird fabworks bar on monday.

Thanks, I just wish the paint was as good as my Jetta. One could only hope the clear coat was as hard as my TDI.

Funny you should say function over form. I honestly thought I was being a little audacious with it. My idea of modding the exterior of a car is making it look as natural/OEM as I can. I agree though, Miatas look better with simple subtle mods.

I agree on the rocker panels. Going to use plastidip first though, to make sure I like it after it is done.

Then mounted them the correct way. You want the skinnier end facing the front of the car so that you can tell if they aren't locked down correctly. Picture makes the angles look odd but they are perfect.

cut the 2 layers of aluminum under the hood off. If you don't take off both layers there is no chance in hell the provided bolts will be long enough.

Also, I need to buff/polish Betty soon. Currently doing my truck which I have foolishly neglected for years. But, at least it's late 90's GM paint (if it was early 90's the clear would likely be peeling by now) and it's responded well so far. The hood was the worst and I got it out of the way 1st. Unfortunately there's no removing the deep pits, chips, and scratches. Roof is next, yay for being short, ugh.

Our giant killer in NW Indiana back in the day was a Ford Fiesta with then-new street legal race rubber and otherwise stock. Light enough to transition quickly, the rubber gave it massive stick, and it was so narrow there was one chicane it drove straight through at full throttle, the tires running over the lips of the cones on either side but not moving them out of their square. It was classed something like H-stock, it was a shitbox, and it killed.

^^ thanks. I like them. I got them a couple of years ago from a Japanese import Eunos roadster a special on the other side of London. Only other set I've seen outside of Japan is the set on Greg's car who I used to see posting on CR. Price wise I paid something like US$600 so they won't cheap.

There are three different ways to do it.

1. Black tape
2. Remove bulb in the rear of the gauge cluster
3. Replace the air bag module (blue box under the dash, driver's side) then connect the two wires under your horn button

If it was flashing before the Nardi, then the module is probably bad (ATANK) may have one, if not eBay. That needs to be replaced before the connector is bridged at the steering wheel. That will shut off the light.

Those wheels literally make the car imho. Everything else is great, but it really pulls it together into one clean looking car.
