Glad I live in the higher elevation! 120ft above sea level has it's benefits! Meanwhile Tampa and St Pete areas are still underwater. Lol. Some folks have been without power since 4:30

Every other Facebook post was someone showing flood damage.

Bayshore getting flooded is nothing new, heck it happens almost once a year, but Belcher and Alt. 19? UNBELIEVABLE!

The normal spots were flooded in Tampa. Westshore blvd, Henderson and dale Mabry, etc. When I was driving the hotel van this morning at 5 o clock, it was a boat!

So yeah, the Florida Aquarium in Tampa on Harbor Island had a boo boo, apparently a ship was missing from the pier, it hit the outside edge of the HUGE tank they have, it cracked from all the flooding and some sharks got out

Correct, they were quickly approaching drought conditions. Now they are "Atlantis II". Welcome to FL...

My sister is in Clermont. She said they needed the rain.

Clermont, FL is an easy 200+ ft above sea level, lots of hills out there, doubt they would ever have "flooding" in that area.

Could have something to do with the mild winter. The Atlantic warmed up much quicker this year.

I was thinking the same thing when the storms started firing up early this season. I was thinking the majority of the storms are gonna track up the seaboard, la nina/el nino shift, looking at SSTs and such. Meteorology is interesting stuff. I love the pics from the hurricane hunter missions.
