That would be up to Randy but in the mean time you always have the monthly Orlando meeting. Probably about an hour and a half drive for you.

The past few years the Tampa crew has set up meets at the Quaker Steak and Lube over your way, the South Florida crew may plan a BBQ at Markham Park ( long drive for you ) and have monthly meets,and Gearheads, not too far from you have monthly drive to somewhere.

I STILL can't get over the fact that you ride a motorcycle without a helmet in Florida.

Don't get me wrong, i understand the freedom issue and all; but from a safety standup, it's just idiotic not to choose to wear one. I also understand roads are not twisty in Florida and for short trips, I can see not wearing a helmet if you're only going to make 2 turns to reach your destination.

I've seen numerous Harleys on the 95 going 75-80mph with a CIGAR in their mouths. One time I saw a back-seat rider facing traffic smoking a cig! Its nuts.

1) chasing them could cause a bigger wreck
2) cops can't keep up with crotch rockets unless they're on a limited access rd and can radio ahead.

My coworker has one brother that's a Lake Co. Judge and another who is a Lake Co Sheriff's deputy. Both have said police chasing motorcycles rarely ends well. The Deputy was out cruising the back roads of Lake Co. when at a light two crotch rockets pulled up along side of him. They both looked and him,grinned and when the light turned green they bolted,he turned on his lights and turned them back off. He said ( as he laughed ) no effing way could I drive this car fast enough to catch them. He figured he could catch up to the ambulance

I travel I4 and 275 twice a day, five days a week. I can't recall how many times I see these dickheads on their bikes hauling ass everywhere, weaving in and out of traffic, going between cars, trucks, semi's, and in the emergency lanes. And it's not just the crotch rocket idiots either. Some of the "Mr Macho" morons on their Harley's do the same thing.

A couple months back, I had one asshole on the last stretch of I4 before 275 on my ass flashing his headlight on his crotch rocket because of the traffic I was going through with an SUV in front of me and he couldn't get by. Where the hell was I supposed to go? When I got pass everyone (wasn't trying to either) and the SUV got in the right lane, the idiot on the bike flies by me, gets in front of me and slows down. I had the cruise on and just kept coming at him with my middle finger fully extended in my windshield. When he realized I wasn't slowing down, he speeds up and gets in the left lane, slowing down to get along side me. THEN, this fucking retard thinks he's going to run me off the road by swerving over at me several times. Again, I didn't budge... My BRG kinda out-weighs this dick on his bike. Anyway, he got pretty damn close several times. I guess he wanted to crush his own leg. LOL After a couple minutes of this BS, I had enough and when he started jestering some stupid shit at me with his right hand, I gave a nice little tug on my steering wheel towards him. He scrambled and slammed on his brakes, almost going into the grass. Needless to say, he didn't bother me anymore. I saw him get all the way over in the right lane and stay there, going slower than everyone else. He wasn't that much of a "tough guy" after that little incident. Jackass...

I'm sorry, but if you ride a bike, drive like a careless idiot and try to bully a car that out-weighs you by at least 2000 lbs, you're a freakin' moron and you WON'T win and I could give a shit less what happens to you. You'll eventually be sponged up at some point after you make a little red wet spot in the middle of the road somewhere after pissing the wrong person off.

There's countless times when people try merging into my lane when I'm right along side them because they don't see me. When have you ever seen a bike that sits lower than even a stock Miata? I haven't seen the car up close but other than a little more cosmetic damage ( for what I could see in pics) and what Gerald described it doesn't sound much worse than your oppps at Lakeland. His bumper,headlight,fender ,and door took a hit. The upper A arm and possibly the lower arm ball joints and wheel are toast. The repair cost vs car value my make his insurance co. total the car but he could buy it back CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP and we can help him fix the car

It will take a little effort,but,the insurance co. has not seen the car so that is not "carved in stone" yet. Getting coverage on a salvage title can be done. He seems to have the right company to work with,they even allow coverage for added aftermarket parts which is unusual except for guys like Grundy. I'm sure whatever the case Gerald will come out fine.

Now if we could only get him to explain his name change here.

From what I was told by the gentleman who towed the car away, it would likely live out it's life driving the roads of a Caribbean Island somewhere. I can only hope.

Not quite Ron... Different states, different regs... There are plenty of "FL totals" meandering in other parts of the South and Midwest... You just can't get it register in FL again. It will have a "rebuilt title" wherever it goes, the equivalent of automotive "scarlett letter" if you will!
