Does this happen to you when driving your Miata?

I've had people with their face stuck to the window looking at my Miata as they pass me on the interstate. I've also had a guy in a Subaru drive up beside me and give me a thumbs up. I get way more looks driving the Miata than I do driving my TA WS6.

Happens all the time, and always when I am at a station getting fuel or beverages!!

Only once that I recall and it happened last week! Dude driving a "Chester, the molester" van. It turns out he had (or claimed to have) a 91 BRG. When it's chicks looking my way, I just assume they are staring at me! ;)

Martin, that's a given seeing you have an Italia but I'm surprised at the reaction to a regular Miata.

A meter maid in Oakland was JUST about to give me a ticket on my wiper when me and my girlfriend just got out of lunch... with a little small talk and charm my gf got us out of a $60~ ticket. She Said she would have given me the ticket and been gone by now if she knew what kind of car it was. When I told her it was just a Miata, she was like "I thought it was a Ferrari or something so you could afford this ticket I was gonna give you," it was after that comment... she decided to just tear up the ticket, guess she thought I couldn't afford it since I drive a Miata.

But seriously... my car a Ferrari!? Amazing!

I get looks and glances every once in a while when at stoplights and on the freeway.

I think a big factor is my window tint, most of the time it seems they are just trying to see inside. Or maybe that my car is always clean and shiny since I religiously detail her once a month.
