Let me start. I had been running a set of stock (sport/ hard) Bilstein's from a 1999 NB, and liked them very much. I wanted more flexibility, so I opted for set of GC coil overs.
I got heavier springs at (F) 450 (R) 375, and a set of Fat Cat bump stops.

When I first put them together, I used a set of helper springs, but they ended up being to loud, as they seemed to make noise over bumps.

So I removed them and used just the Ground Control springs.

I didn't have them re-valued, but did throw in new bushings.

I am currently at 5.25 inches in the front (measured at the pinch seam to the ground), and 5.50 in the rear. I love the set up for inexpensive coil overs.

If I'm correct my FCM's have GC coilvers, so I'll play, but forgive me if I'm wrong.

600 lbs Front, 375 lbs rear; with custom valved Bilsteins. My car sits @ 12.25 front as measured from the center of the rim and 12.75 in the back.

Not cheap, but everytime I drive my Miata, I love this set up more and more!

How did you guys remove the OEM spring perch off the shock bodies?

My set-up has the Ebay Coil sleeve sitting on top of the spring mounts.

-Wasabi: I think the Helper springs didn't allow the top hats to sit fully against the shock shaft so your top hat would make noise after becoming unloaded and loaded again. Atleast that's what I think was happening when I had them on the front shocks.

I'm running Bilstein Sports with ebay sleeves/springs FCM bump stops NB top hats front and ISC on the rear.

I'd love to get them revalved someday, but I doubt it.
