This will be my story/update thread, as I don't really find all this "build" worthy :P.

The car has been stock for a long time, I've only been modding it for the last few years i've owned it.

The first thing in order was installing a lip which had been lying in my room for over a year.
As you might have guessed I'm not often in a rush to get things done on the car :P.

Next up was a set of Work equips, sized 15x8 +35.
I installed Bilstein shocks with eibach lowering springs as well.

Somewhere during that time I did some small things that have a pretty big impact on how the car looks.
A license plate relocation, chrome indicator bulbs blacked out side markers and a brand new front bumper without an emblem.

A 50/50 shot with one orange and one chrome bulb + license plate relocated and the missing emblem.

As I was going to install 25mm ( about 1") spacers to clear a big brake kit I decided I needed to go a bit lower not to make the wheels poke too much.
The coilovers I went with are a set of HSD's, I've only installed the fronts as I cannot for the life of me get the rear topmount bolts off.

This following pic shows the black side markers as well as the front being a bit lower.

The white tyre lettering was an experiment inspired by Adam (Revlimiter), but I couldn't clean them properly so I peeled it off again.

I've got some small projects going on, like making a custom big brake kit and fixing up an RS Aizawa bumper.

I've got a set of Jubiride flares lying around as well which are for sale as I will not install them because I want Fujimura Auto flares now.
Flares are still a future plan, but I will have to sell my equips to get new wheels to properly fill them out.
Theres also a Zoom fuel lid somewhere (yes I actually lost it :fp:) in my house and Ive got two steering wheels on the wall which I don't have a hub for yet.

Very cool! Really like the Porsche brakes.

Thanks! The calipers won't go on anytime soon I'm afraid.
I got in an argument with the guy who was supposed to make the brackets over some shit I pulled while being wasted :P.
There's also the question of what to do with the rear brakes. Ideally I'd like to run the Porsche calipers in the rear too, but I'l have to make a set of seperate handbrake calipers work somehow.
I'll probably run the NBFL sport brakes in the rear until I decide what to do about them.

I think the Porsche brakes are a Miata first

Well, I copied the idea from a German guy who's running them on the front of his NB.
I intend to use the rears too, so I guess I'll be unique in that aspect :P.

I like the idea of the Porsche brakes, your future plans sound good.

So someone crashed into my parked car a while ago and damaged my fender and one of my wheels.
I could care less about the fender, but the wheel is a bit of a hassle to fix since Work decided to not just polish, but anodise and clearcoat the lips as well.
This is going to make a repair expensive either way, so I'm a bit torn up about what to do next.

I could get one brand new wheel.
I could have the damaged wheel stripped, de-anodised, repolished, anodised and laquered, but it will never look 100% the same.
I could strip, de-anodise and polish all wheels.
I could have the wheels media blasted and refinished to my own wishes.

Since the first three options are all pretty expensive and/or labour intensive I'm kind of leaning towards refinishing them entirely.
I'm not sure about the do's and don't of refinishing these wheels though.
For one thing, I'm not sure if media blasting will have good results since the anodised layer is harder than the actual aluminium.
Also I've read about powder coating being bad for wheels (for instance the 6UL warranty void).
I'm thinking about getting them done like these, flat black centers, gloss black lips and gold hardware.

So what do you guys think?

I'd have the insurance company buy you a new wheel
