I wonder why we have crappy toggles in the states...these are so much better.

Have you ever pulled one apart to see if there are damaged components to replace? I'd also imagine the wires could be flipped to make the auto on the left side (but then you might have switches on the wrong sides). I'd like to mess with one but don't have the money to spare.

I haven't ever pulled one apart. It's kind of a sealed black box in there. The part you see (the plastic plate and two switches) comes off the main body pretty easily leaving this black box. I've not yet opened one. I have a completely shattered one that I should probe around in. Just haven't.

It would be pretty easy to swap the wires and make the auto switch operate the left hand window. It might be a little confusing at first, but it would work and I imagine a person would get used to it.

ONE MORE THING.

These need the wiring harness extended to work with US manual transmission cars. That's not very hard. You'll need about 6 feet of 14 gauge wire (6 wires times 1 foot of extension). I can do this for you if you'd like. I'd ask $10 for this service.

I saw two different versions on ebay and they both had 3 screws to open them up (not sure if yours are the same). Also your prices are way better than the $179 :shock: they want shipped from Tokyo.

HOLY CRAP! I couldn't actually find a price for one (I didn't look very hard), so I priced them about what a regular US window switch goes for on ebay. I never guessed these would go for that much.

And I might open up my broken switch tonight and fish around...
