Funny you should post this today. Noticed a beat to hell one on cincinatti craigslist for 6k at a dealer. Ripped drivers bolster, aftermarket radio and shift knob, too big wheels, and the gauge cluster cover looks to be beat to hell under the dash mat. In the picture it looks like the window switches are upside down? Don't know if all NAS are like that as I've spent no time in one. If I only had a ft job I'd try to rescue it.

Raliegh, NC craigslist. The car is being parted out or sold as a rolling chassis:

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/3482868210.html

"I have a 93 Miata with a clean and clear title that will be sold as a rolling chassis with or without the Limited Slip differential. This is the limited edition so it does have ABS.

This car is currently being parted out, and though it runs now it will be sold without a motor or transmission. You are also welcome to buy as much of the interior as you need, but the intention is to sell this as a race or swap project.

This car can be legally transferred, titled, and tagged without bonding or any other nonsense.

Make an offer.

1993 Mazda Miata LE Limited Edition - $4500 (Kissimmee/ South Orlando)

http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/3420061823.html

1993 Mazda Miata Limited Edition. Only 1500 of these made it to the United States. Runs good, cold ac, 155k miles. Fully repainted less than a year ago, so the paint is in really nice condition, no dents or dings on the body. Interior is in really good condition as well. Top was installed pretty recently and has a zip down glass window.

Limited Edition features: Front spoiler, rear wing, red interior with aluminum speaker covers, Bilstein suspension, 14" BBS wheels, red top boot cover and full cabin tonneau cover in excellent condition.

This car is in very nice condition and I would consider it more of a "driver's car" than a garage queen/ show piece. The trunklid developed a spot where the paint started bubbling (a couple square inches in size), there is a small bit of rust that started developing under the passenger side door sill (superficial in nature) and under the master cylinder in the engine bay.

A black hardtop is available for $800 more, not included in the listed price of $4500. The buyer of the car has first option at buying the hardtop, if whoever buys the car doesn't get the hardtop there is already a buyer lined up for it so please, please, please do not call me asking about the hardtop being for sale separately.
I am selling this Miata and another one for a friend who has 5 of them and wants to sell a few but doesn't have the time to show the cars himself. I can be reached at 407 616 5462 and the car can be seen Monday- Saturday.

Once again:
$4500 or best reasonable offer without the hardtop
$5300 or best reasonable offer with the hardtop
NO lowballers please.

May be selling my 93 LE.. with 103k on it,, no rust #905
the car was bought a few years back from a professor morehead state university.. it got caught in a hail storm last year, has some small hail damage, replaced the trunk lid and hood, as well as a a top, found a used fabic with glass window.. score..I have most all the LE tidbits, the BBS wheels, with near new tires, all caps and even the wrench, the red tonneau cover, red boot, oem stereo cover,.. i dont have the keychain.. floor matts in good shape, seats in ok shape, drivers bottom just started to spilt, i have removed that bottom and have an oem black bottom on that seat for time being, plan is to repaire and before it gets worse..i even have bought a huge peice of matched red leather to remake and or repair the seats.everything else is in great shape! everything works.even the radio.cruise, power mirrors, etc. very few mods have been done, as I also have a supercharged 99 miata so its been the whore car.. lol.. however, I have a ton of stuff that CAN go with the LE.. whats on the LE now---> nardi 330mm wheel, custom roll bar, upper strut brace, tunned RX7 maf, intake (home made)cusco lower front subframe brace, red powercoated valve cover, gv front lip, shaved and tented side markers and trun signals, red tent rear lights, jackson racing plug wires (red),tr motorsports C1m (black) with 205/50/15 azenis on them, very used..
Now what could go with the car.. ---> flat black hard top, new FAtCAT top hats with bushings and bumpstops, fresh sus arms with the old Flying miata one peice poly bushings with offseted holes for camber correction.. full 4.3 torsen swap with ABS sensors, ADJ cam gears, toda 7lb chromoly flywheel, with performance clutch. 1.8L brakes with hawks hps pads. extra viscous diff 61k on it,

Sooo, i need to sell one of my miatas, both cars got caught outside in this hail storm we had, then 2 weeks after, spun rod brearing in the NB. :(
since iv replaced the motor along with tons of other stuff. the LE now not being a perfect car was to also become modded more agressively.. I need to sell on of them, Id like to sell the NB, however the LE would go for the correct price, But id prefer to keep the LE.. I appreciate any thoughts on the matter, what to ask, offers, etc.. FYI I paid 5,400 for the car. tons more money has gone in it, but she isnt a perfect car anymore as well, so IDK

I think if you parted the aftermarket stuff to bring it back to original spec you could make some money off it and then sell all the stuff you took off to make more. At least that's what I would do!

Here is one that just popped up on ebay with 75K miles, OHIO car.

Buy-It-Now $8,500

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=161025772149&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123#ht_974wt_726

Nice MIATA LE first limited edition, 2000 made blacke with red interior, anti lock brakes, bilsteen shocks (R spec suspension) BBS wheels.

I bought this car from a dealer in Ohio about 3 years ago. I have driven it about 2000 miles or so in that time. this is a good looking, low milage (for the year) car. It is not a show car but is a very presentable driver, I get complements all the time. Runs drives shifts and handles as it should, really handles good!

Comes with original miata floor mats (carpets) in good shape but showing some wear (care has been used for 74000 miles). Red top boot, Red Miata tonneau cover, top is in good shape except back window has a bad spot. new back window included, but since I refuse to drive this car with the top up, I have not bothered to have it installed.

Stereo is pretty advanced for its day, has a feature that vibrates the back of the seats so you feel the rhythm.

Interior is in good to very good shape, there is very little wear along the beading on the edge of the drivers seat and a scratch (not a cut or gash) in the passenger seat, see photos.

AC worked when I got it but did not work the next summer. I tried to add freon and it seemed to get a little cooler but it is not working right. Since I dont drive with the top up, I dont use the air.

When I got it there was a leak between the top tan (plastic) of the radiator and the core. I installed a new all metal radiator and it has been great, even in the Arkansas heat.

There is a mark on the rear bumper and there are small imperfections here and there in the paint, I tried to picture the worst but it is hard to see.

Buy it now is what I would like to have for the car, these are hard to find and I have wanted one for a long time. I am not a little to big for this car and cannot afford a car that I use less than 500 miles a year so it is for sale. The reserve is what I will take and is a fair bit less than the buy it now price so bid what you would like to own the car for and you may get lucky! Please dont ask the reserve.j

I have been on ebay since 1998 (wow almost 15 years!) never a negative feedback, dont want one now so please ask any quesitons or come look before you bid.

Car can be stored indoors for up to 30 days after auction, but I expect payment within 7 days. Any form of paper payment will require that the car stay here at least 10 days after I deposit the check in my account. Personal or cashier check are the same. Wire transfer or cash upon pickup will result in faster delivery. Paypal for $200 deposit unless you can get here to pay for the car in 3 days.

Sold as is of course. this is a very nice 20 year old car.

One more thing, Air Bag light is flashing 10 flashed, needs a module. I know of no other repairs needed (besides AC). Tires have lots of tread and all 4 match (I seldom buy a car that does not have matching tires).

Only thing I would trade for might be a nice fishing type Deck boat, must be nice, no projects ( I have enough projects already!).

Thanks for reading to the end.

Winning bid: US $6,910.00

In 1993 Mazda made 1500 limited edition Miata's simply called "limited edition" cars, they were black with a red interior and were the "top of the line" costing almost $24,000 at the time. This is 1 of those 1,500 cars. The package included; brilliant black exterior paint, red leather interior (the only miata ever to be offered with red leather, still stands till today), aluminum trim inserts on the door speakers, Bilstein shocks and special springs/sway bars, Mazda MSSS sound system (has speakers in the headrests, and bass woofers in the mid section of the seat), front and rear air dams, cruise control, power windows, BBS alloy wheels, and full tonneau cover. If you would like to read more about what the limited edition package included I would suggest you read this website: http://www.miata93le.com/About_LE.htm

Basics

VIN: JM1NA3519P1412489

Overall good condition
Located in Winston Salem, NC

--Tonneau cover was/is BNIB until I decided to put it on for the first time about 2 months ago, I drove it to work one day then took it off and put it back in the original box.
--Miata 2 book set with keeper
--Red Boot cover
--BBS Cap wrench
--Bilstein Sticker/envelope
--Wheel Lock Key
--Original Books with salesman's business card

--Radio Cover

Maintenance
Since I've owner the car I have added/improved:
New OEM Beltline moulding (both sides)
New Koyo Radiator
New OEM Hoses (All coolant hoses, even the pain in the butt to get too ones)
Flushed Coolant
New T-stat
New Clutch Slave
New brake fluid
Mobil 1 10w30
Mobil 1 85/90 trans fluid
Mobil 1 85/90 LSD diff fluid
New PCV valve and gasket
Painted Cam Cover
New Cam Cover Gasket
New NGK Plugs
New NGK Wires
"Fan" Style wiper sprayers (need a short hose to connect them back up, haven't gotten around to that yet)
Fat Cat Motorsports Bump Stops
New OEM heater control background
New BLACK OEM floor mats (red also included)
New Door speakers (Kicker DS650)
New front lip
New ROBBINS zipper rear window top (within past 2 years)

Needs attention
It has been stored inside for all but 1 year around 2005. There are two very small dings that could be removed by paint-less dent repair that if I didn't mention, you might not find. The tires are in good condition, however the rears are Goodyears and the fronts are Dunlops (same size). There are pictures of a few scratches at the end of the auction listing, these are a few other small imperfections in the paint but the paint is overall very good for its age. The Dash is starting to get sticky which is a known problem with Miata's with painted dashes, there are a lot of write ups on how to resolve this problem or you could leave it alone. The CD player works but skips unless the road is smooth, the Cassette can be iffy sometimes but works good (I use a Cassette with 1/8 jack for my iPod, works great!).

Sorry there are some bugs on the front bumper in the pictures

Dimples in front bumper from previous owner's required front license plate for his state

Front left fender scratch approx 6 inches

Spots all over rear spoiler, not on trunk, please note that the paint is not "hazed" it was very humid in my garage as I had the door open and the lens fogged on my camera

Front right fender scratch approx 2 inches

Haha alrighty. I'll make a FS thread once I take pictures and link it to this thread. FWIW to any prospect buyers... I set realistic prices. I don't ask more than what it's honestly worth and I'm willing to meet halfway if you're within a few hours. I wish I was able to find a silver, white or black NA that I could use the carpet in, but red in red doesn't quite work

Nice I had seen a Yellow with Red interior in Japan but not stateside. Needs more modding though to get past the color scheme, however I would not mind adding this to the stable. Just wondering if that is factory yellow paint with red interior swap, or yellow repainted over the black 93LE

I am collecting parts to complete a red interior. Collected a complete RHD dash and door cards. Still looking for other parts. That's why I'm infiltrating the LE thread, looking for goodies. Also I created a thread in the Australian Mx-5 forum 'MX5CARTALK' parts wanted section, looking for red interior components. I received this reply.

There was a small number of Malibu Gold's that were dealer fitted with a red interior. Someone told me that there were 7 Malibu's with a Red interior. The Red interior was fitted to try and sell the last of the 55 Malibu that Mazda Aust originally imported.
I actually saw one that was up for a private sale. The one I saw had a full red interior.
J.

I'd heard previously that some Malibu Golds had red interiors, but having never seen even a picture of one, thought that Mazda Australia would have taken the easy way out with just red seats, lower door cards and front carpet, similar to the R2-Limited. I'm happy that all red is the 'original' color combination. ;-)

The one above only has the little black on it because I forgot to close the plastic part over the door after I finished up lubing the door shafts because the windows where slow. So they both have some black on the back here and there that tar stuff. the screw holes are perfect no cracks or busts.

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a85/vwgti101/c2_zpsb9c60c0e.jpg (http://s9.photobucket.com/user/vwgti101/media/c2_zpsb9c60c0e.jpg.html)

The two dimples are from the other doorcard laying on top for the last month or so.

mention I used three of the screws on these for my other doorcards so the only thing missing is the three screws and they are on my other le doorcards. I used my other le doorcard that where not nice to cover with that nakamae style diy I did. I did not want to destroy these being they are near mint to mint.

Actually was asking what they came with, if they are stripped down like that they are not as desirable by most, the speaker covers are $150+ by themselves. so a complete door in good shape would be around $300 value. Maybe more maybe less. You can also buy them brand new matching set from Nakamae via REV9 but they are much more expensive that way.

Complete interior thru this seller

http://orlando.craigslist.org/pts/4350591049.html

Re pasted from ad in case it expires Please call 4O7-314-O597

I called and talked to the guy. He says he has a complete interior and everything is in good shape except for the seats. I had him quote a couPle of parts for me and price was too high $200 for both rear kick panels, $50 for both front kick panels.

He had a funny comment about how honest Miata people are. Said he used to sell a lot of rx7 parts and he would have to practically drive by his yard each night to keep people from breaking in. he started carrying miata stuff a few years ago and it attracted a better class of customer. He can turn a Miata owner loose in his yard to pick and pull and no parts get stolen or pocketed etc.

I told him it was that special mix of total poverty and complete honesty that only Miata owners seem to possess.

Wasn't sure where to post this, but Hollands auto yard in Billerica Massachusetts currently has a complete 99 NB miata says will not start electrical problem and they also have 3 NA that have been partially stripped, white 90 with rear end and subframes complete dash , 2 red 93 one with engine trans and diff another with good body panels. Happy hunting!

If I had seen them first I would have bought them. You don't see those NOS everyday.

You might have hurt yourself bidding against me if you won  Last time I'd seen a set of these on ebay was several years ago. Nobody on the forums picked up they were there, I was sort of waiting for m.net to take note but, nope.

nah, I think $300 would have been my limit, any more than that and I would probably only use them for car shows, I would hate to wear them out. I still have the R-Limited mats from Japan though, but they are not NOS like those.

Here is a sad but true story for ya about those mats. (Going from memory here )
Several years after the 99 miatas came out, the Jacksonville Florida Mazda warehouse (now closed) had 50+ sets of the red floor mats as new old stock. One of the warehouse workers was buying them for $7 per set (employee discount) and using them in his daily beater a jeep or truck, as I recall. Once he muddied them up he would just pitch them and buy another set to trash until most if not all got trashed.

Howdy folks. New member here, and unfortunately the reason for signing up is to sell our 93LE (located in central Alabama). At this time I don't know the sequence number, but should be able to get that on Monday.

It has 85K miles and ran great the last time it was driven 9 years ago. But we got busy with family, business, other vehicles, and life in general, and after the battery went dead after sitting for a few months, we just never got around to getting the car back in drivable shape. So it has been sitting in our garage collecting dust for nine years. Interior is very nice for its age, with just a little bit of wear on the edges of the seats from entry/exit. The doors and all aluminum trim pieces are in very nice condition. The original MSSS stereo is included, but not currently installed (a single din replacement CD player was professionally installed around 2002-2003 with no damage or modification to dash). Comes with original red leather boot cover in excellent shape (stored indoors all that time). Top is in decent shape for its age, but the plastic rear window needs to be replaced. The body has no major dents or problems, just a few minor dings like most used cars have (nothing larger than a dime). The paint is dull and oxidized and has typical chips from driving and everyday use. A new paint job wouldn't hurt, but then again the factory paint would probably look presentable with a deep cleaning/touch-up/waxing/polishing job done by an experienced detailer who knew what he was doing.

Of course it will need new tires and a new battery, and you'll need to extract/replace any old gas that may still be in the tank. And putting some Marvel Mystery Oil in the engine before starting would probably be a smart idea. And we have no desire to do all that - we just want to let it go at a reasonable price. So consider this your next project car and bring a trailer! Price is $2,500.

If interested, call David at 205 - four eight two - 32 eight three (or PM me through the forum).

Sorry about the rear-ended 93LE VagaXT, what are the plans for it? Is the hardtop flexed now? I got hit like that and then took my hardtop to another miata but it never fit the same on any miata, im guessing the impact does that to the FRP ??

Traded it for my '12 SE. Don't miss it. Missed it all the time while it sat at the MINI shop.

I have for sale my 1993 Mazda Miata Limited Edition. I've owned this car for almost 5 years now and have done all the modifications under my ownership (I have documentation and receipts for the majority of the work). Like all MX5's, there isn't much horse power in stock form. Therefore, a BEGI S1 Intercooled turbo kit was installed, increasing its stock 90whp to just well over 200whp with all accessory modifications to keep it reliable.

This Miata came stock with factory Bilstein suspension, which was completely rebuilt/revalved by Stewart Development at 500lbs front (compensated for the extra weight of the turbo kit/RB sway bar) and 350lbs in the rear. This is a great dual purpose setup that performs on the track while also being comfortable enough for the street.

The general theme for this Miata was to keep it simple while giving it a classic/retro style look. The exterior of the Miata is in great shape for being a 20+ year old car. The interior is mostly original besides the the head unit and Nardi wood wheel. The leather seats has no tears but could be re-upholstered.

Overall this car is well maintained and cared for. It comes with the original available option hardtop w/defrost and all the modifications have less than 5000 miles on them. My only reason for selling is I don't drive it much (500 miles this past year) and life priorities are changing.

Is that the same LE boot listed over the miata.net? I have not seen any listed stateside but check yahoo.jp there was one I saw the other day. IMO that's how high I would go on it. Coz worst case you can buy a worn out black one and get some of those maroon red leather from 'interior-innovations and have an upholsterer copy it and use all the attachments from the black cover.

$200 is not cheap, but it's a good & fair price. Most guys selling LE parts sell them very dearly. I was lucky to buy two additional ones: 1 from a local member who's not into raping people over price ($150) and another from Japan ($90 +shipping).

1993 Miata LE (Limited Edition) #92 out of #1500 - $5999

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/5081139011.html

The Miata as you may have already known is a very special car, being rated consistently in the top 10 by Car & Driver. In the spring of 1993, the Mazda created a very special and unique Miata, the 93LE. This "LE" was a limited edition production car, with only 1500 sequence numbered LEs made for sale in the United States. Mazda took a fully loaded B package miata (power mirrors, power-assisted steering, leather-wrapped steering wheel, headrest speakers, cruise control, power windows and a power antenna) and added everything they could think of from a performance and cosmetic standpoint to create the LE.

The convertible top's zip window is broken. The top itself works fine. The car needs a slight tune up.

maybe you guys can find a good home for these parts dont need them. they are just sitting here collecting dust. I do have seats and dash but dash is damaged and driver seat is pretty nasty condition. (idk what the previous owner did to this car, but when I picked it up it was a rust bucket and was hit :(. was gonna swap everything to a white car but decided to just keep my red miata and part out my white miata. So still have these parts. :) )

What's the going rate for a LE interior?
My LE was bought knowing it wasn't correct, and not worth it for a collector. The car is modified and has 210k on it.

With that said, I'm considering taking off the interesting bits and selling the car as a 'regular' stock miata without the red interior and fun parts.

The carpet is worn in places without holes, the rear carpet has been cut for a rollbar, the dashtop has been painted (quite well...), the seatbelts are bad... the seats look fantastic (they've been on a shelf since I bought it; I have red Lotus seats in it now)- and they have the speakers/ thumpers in them.

Any thoughts?

Phatmiata
07-07-2015, 06:25 AM
93le parts hold good prices based on condition. The nicer the part the more you'll likely get. Ie check for fade, rips, scratches, cigarette burns and such. If the seats are as cherry as you say then you should be able to get $800 to $1800 depending on how fast you want to sell.

If you were in Florida I would buy the dash off you as mine has the sticky dash syndrome.

Check the classifieds and sort by "Sold items only" as we have sold plenty of 93le parts on here

Won't the seats cost more than $1000 to replace or have them re-upholstered in LE red leather?

kung fu jesus
07-15-2015, 06:16 PM
Upholstery costs depend on a few things. The materials are the key. A GOOD shop will be able to match the color spot on from a sample that hasn't been exposed to much sun, like the material that wraps under the seat. The quality and grade of cover material also factors in. Each manufacturer of upholstery materials have proprietary treatments or coatings to prevent sun or water damage, some offer stain protection or whatever. If your seat foam is destroyed, mechanisms, etc. are damaged, that also factors in. $1000 for two seats seems pretty high. I think $750 would be a good price for high quality coverings, professionally installed.

TNRooster3

Well I was just trying to understand where the $5000 price came from and why even that is generous. And I saw how bad the seats looked.

OK I checked on this car it is #271 of 1500, I found a post on reddit where it was sold on craigslist by the original owner. Car now has 159966 miles, the timing belt and pump done at 140K, top done 16 months ago, so whoever had it has put almost 10K on it in 10 months, the BBS wheels are gone, the plastic window has a tear that was glued trying to repair it, the drivers seat is torn but the passenger seat looks good, no hardtop, no boot, no mats and the front lip is missing. Runs and shifts good, so what is it worth?

TNRooster3
08-03-2015, 04:40 PM
Went back over there this afternoon to see it in the daytime, scratches on front look worse and the paint on the car is not good, looks a lot worse in the daylight, whole car will need to be painted. Told the owner it might be a $2500 car if the paint was still good but it's not, it was too rough for me and so I'd pass on it.

This 1993 Mazda Miata is #25 of 1,500 Limited Edition models with fewer than 20k miles as confirmed by the clean Carfax report viewable below. The LE was distinguished by a number of features like special black exterior with red leather interior and unique exterior and interior finishes. This one is very clean and said to drive like a new car. The OEM optional hardtop is included along with the canvas folding roof which the seller notes is in excellent condition. The stock 1.6-liter is unmodified from stock and everything works including cold A/C. With so many Miata made daily drivers and weekend track toys, the limited production model and low miles make this a special example.

The body is straight and black paint shines nicely, though the seller says it could really pop with a thorough detail. Panels are original except the driver’s side fender, which was replaced by the dealer in 1995 after a minor parking lot accident. This 93LE came equipped with a front air dam, rear lower skirt, rear spoiler and BBS mesh wheels, which are in excellent condition with all four center caps–the cap removal tool is also included.

Despite the car having always been garaged and tucked under an NA specific fitted cover, the rear spoiler’s paint needs some reconditioning and there’s a small ding on one of the doors the seller was unable to capture with a camera. The original folding roof is tear free and the rear plastic window is clean without cracks or yellowing, and is stowed under a red boot cover. Pin-striping is a removable decal that was added at the dealer when new, and the original tires were replaced 2000 miles ago.

The Limited Edition-only red leather interior contrasts nicely with the black paint and is nicely preserved. Aluminum door trim was a unique LE feature along with matching trim on the stereo.

The A/C blows cold and an aftermarket aux-in cable equipped head unit was installed—the original radio block-off plate is included in the sale. Power windows and all interior accessories work. Note the LE-specific leather wrapped Nardi shift knob.

The engine bay housing the standard NA 1.6-liter inline four is tidy with no fluid leaks according to the seller. The drivetrain is stock and said to run and drive very well. Within the last 10k miles, all fluids were replaced in addition to standard maintenance. This model came fitted with Bilstein shocks and slightly stiffer springs for crisp handling, and LEs came with all available options including LSD, power steering and ABS. The seller states the car drives smoothly at highway speeds with no vibrations or other issues.

The car was originally a Valentine’s Day gift given to a wife who did not enjoy shifting gears, which is one reason the miles have stayed low. Since leaving the original owner in 2009, the car has been enjoyed occasionally on weekend drives.
