Trouble wiring my aftermarket horn button.

So I finally got around to install my KG works horn button, but I have run into some trouble wiring everything up.

My previous Momo horn button had two wire inputs while the KG only has one. Also the KG requires the aftermarket fitment ring for it to stay in place.

So here is a picture of all of the parts I am using to install the horn. (fitment ring, ground ring, Worksbell QR Rapifix II)

When I attach the wheel to my car with it connected like this it instantly honks the horn.

Now If I only have the red wire attached to the horn button and I touch the (black) ground wire to the brass ring on the side of the horn button, it doesn't honk unless I press the horn button.

I am not sure what I could be doing wrong, maybe I should check the connections on my daikei hub or the end of the Worksbell QR connected to the hub. Any help would be appreciated!

I would also like to add that when everything is put together with the horn button in it honks away when the wheel is attached to the car as well.

Thanks for the responses everyone. So I used a volt meter to check to see if the wires were connected correctly in the daikei hub. It read -12v when I touched which meant I needed to swap the wires on the connected to the other end of the QR.

Upon examining the wiring in the hub the there was a "black" wire and a "green/yellow" I guess the black wire actually wasn't the ground. Either way I swapped the wires and I installed everything back to how I had in the previous pictures and it works now!
