Been doing some thinking over the last few days, trying to make up a hit list for 2013... so this is roughly what I'm planning, what are you thinking about? It could be interesting looking back at it in 12 months!

Air filter / airbox / cold air feed (as I currently have nothing on the TBs!)
Brakes. Need more power!
Rolling road.
Geo and suspension setup.
Roll bar.
Weight loss.
Bracing.

Drive it. Track days, weekends away, hopefully a few sprints and hillclimbs. Le Mans? Nurburgring? Not sure yet, but this car needs to be driven hard all year!

I will enjoy my car, and drive it whenever I get the chance.

I am still into car modifying/tuner scene and have that passion but in regards to my MX-5...I am done with modifications/upgrades.

As with most of my cars, I typically do the following and call it a day:

1. tint the windows (5 or 20% all around)
2. swap out the shift knob (spherical shape and countersunk, semi weighted)
3. get some wheels (lightweight race wheels)
4. lower the vehicle (coilovers or springs and shocks)
5. get an exhaust system (either a cat back or I just delete the muffler and run a straight pipe axleback)

*I have done almost everything on that list to my car...shes not lowered.

And to tell you, I am satisfied and content. I just enjoy driving her now.
Im putting the rest of my would have been car mod money into savings for a new car in the future. Maybe the ND Miata perhaps but only time will tell.

I am going to REALLY try to stop spending more money on my car from now on. Of course I'd like all the nice little nick nacks for our cars but I really think I need to start saving it =). But there are a few things left on my list before I can do that.

- I would like to upgrade my sound system a bit.
- slowly get rid of those damned rattles and noises in my car!
- Reupholster a Elise seat for my gf... Hopefully she'll like it. The regular Elise seat kind of sucks!
- And just make sure my car is running healthy, I know I got some oil somewhere.
- Maybe take my car out on the track a little =).

That should do it.

The only plans I have for my car is to finally get a rollbar/harness bar, install my kirkley seat, buy a steering wheel + hub, do at least 4 trackdays, and attend at least one autocross a month in her.

I'm contemplating plastidipping the car as well, but I'm unsure of what color would look good. I've always been a fan of blue, so that may even be an option for the car.

Get it running and install all the parts that have been laying around for months. It's sat so long and I haven't done anything that it almost makes me depressed for real.

My plans were little on this car for awhile. I spent a ton of money on my last car and decided to just be chilled out with this one. I do however plan to maybe boost it down the road, thinking Supercharged over turbo, last car was SC and I loved the whine. Plus SC should get me in the HP range I want, doesn't take much with a small car to be quick. So other then that I want to get exhaust manifold and full exhaust, trying to track down a Borla dual tip sport muffler, decided thats what I want.

Other plans

New gauges(cluster)
Lowering
nice set of wheels
HIDs

not much

Ha, the rims are out until next year. So far all coolant hoses/radiator + direzzas + alignment, has been done. Still need to install the frame rails that have been collecting dust for a year, and get the car ready to pass emissions.

3.63 Gears hopefully soon (having trouble sourcing the speedo gear)
get smogged so I can throw 650cc injectors in and finish the tune
more aggressive alignment, since I picked up a daily
Car should be much easier to autox after these

want, but depends on leftover budget
awr sway bar brackets + 1.125 RB front bar
frog arms or garagestar fender braces
add spot welds to door/a pillar area
go higher spring rates maybe

Money/sponsors permitting since my money is tied up with staying alive:

1. New diff bushings
2. New motor mounts
3. body repairs
4. New paint
5. New top
6. Transmission rebuild
7. Stage 2 cooling
8. Intake
9. engine bay redo/clean up
10. Possible minor engine rebuild (just small stuff, seals etc)

My car is in a sad state right now. I inherited a beat up miata...
