So I broke my drivers side mirror (stupid old car) and need to do something new. I can simply replace the bolt, get some replacement Miata mirrors, get some vintage stuff, or get some fender Mirrors. personally, all the options are good. But I think I want something different. Would love some opinions/pictures of what to do. So far I have this.

These actually look good. I know, its crazy. I could use these as a regular side mirror or get ballsy and use it as a fender mount.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/fender-mirrors-datsun-240z-260z-280z-toyota-ta22-te27-/140887278524?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222001%26algo%3DSIC.CURRENT%26ao%3 D1%26asc%3D13899%26meid%3D4587489926110827755%26pi d%3D100011%26prg%3D1095%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D1307280344 57%26

These are super balls to the wall. Imagine these as a fender Mirror. Holy crap, right?

Those datsun mirrors are siiiiiick. I'd be concerned about mounting them, though. (I say drop the $50 and see if you can make it work. It would definitely make Amy much more unique.)

Maybe if you weren't so concerned about fixing your hair and makeup then you wouldn't have broken your mirror. :fp: Don't blame the car.

The Datsun mirrors are slick, but not sure how the heck you are gonna see outta them being so far forward? But i'm a blind SOB that wears glasses, so take it for what its worth.

The PEP Boys is nice to use if you can make a mounting bracket for it.

How about this Carbon Fiber one from www.MiataRoadster.com , It would look great with your black racing stripe!

Or these M2-1028 Style Mirrors in Black from www.REV9AutoSport.com also would match your black stripe

Personally, I would get the M2-1028 and later on when you have some car money you can paint them "Spirited Green" color to match your car.

There is a TON of options for our cars, you need to seriously buy a HyperREV, AiR, Options, or Road&Ster book and start looking

The chrome pep-boys number is just kinda meh. The flat mirror housing doesn't work for me. Miatas need some volume behind the glass, whether it's teardrop or bullet shaped or even rectangular.

Way to blow up the thread Randy! I'm trying to stay cheap on this stuff.

I feel you on this. I like them, but I think a bullet would be much cooler.

I got the datsun idea from another roadster I saw on instagram. I'll have to think about it.

Randy's idea of affordability is measured in banker's/congress person terms...

I really wish the Zoom's came in an all brushed aluminum finish, they have the silver carbon but it's just not the same.

I stopped by pepboys today and picked up one of the mirrors. I'm sleeping on it. Think I'm gonna paint them black. Dunno yet.

those mirrors would only look good chrome, just don't think they would look right in black IMHO, but then again I could be wrong. Ill wait for painted pics.

Post up some pictures man! I saw that one dude on CR that used the same ones, but I believe that he had issues with the base. I know the weight savings is more than likely absolutely minimal, but are they any heavier/lighter than the stock miata counterparts?

Fender mirrors are lame. Generally nostalgic wanna be blowhards put them on their cars if they didn't come with them originally.
The only fender mirrors worth a damn are the convex lens ones. But it looks stupid.

Never was a fan for the silver old school circle ones either. Always figured the OEM ones were unnecessarily bulky. But I've found the CF rectangle mirrors look good. And the only "shaped" mirror I've ever enjoyed were the BOMEX ones. If I can snag a pair out here, I'll probably keep them. Only ones I think flow well with the car.

The others are just to damn funky or trying incredibly hard to be different.
