So the light came on. Blinks 4 times. According to the M.net garage, it is a faulty S-sensor. Anyone know what that means?

Means it's time to rip the airbag system out and get an aftermarket steering wheel?

Unplug the to blue boxes under the dash. Fixed. Remove all wiring and sensors too if you want.

You airbag won't work either way.

Well I have an aftermarker steering wheel. And a Boss Hub with the air bag delete. its still my dd so I don't want to start ripping everything out yet. I'd like to fix it the right way.

From what I've read, the computer(blue boxes under the dash) leaks from the capacitors, leading to random errors. However, I have already replace the comp due to a 10 flash error, meaning bad comp. The new one I replaced it with was a used one from 2ndchance about a year and a half ago. I'm all for buyin a new one from them again, I just want to know if that will fix it, or if I actually need the s-sensor?

Why are you keeping all those things if you have no other airbags then?

If I have to sell the car for any reason. I have the stock steering wheel and stock suspension still. Lol. I never throw anything away. I like to repair my car the right way. Instead of eliminating things as they break.

I guess the right way is different for other people, I just throw all that shit out anyways.

Sorry I am useless to your cause.

Find someone local and borrow their computer to see if that fixes the problem?

No worries adam. Lol.

And I will switch out with a buddy if that's that it comes down to. But my original question is what is the "s-sensor"?

You've got PM... Don't know if linking to other forums is frowned on so won't do it here, but a quick 30 second Google search turned up a wealth of info on the s sensor and how to test it.

Well if the experiences from my 92 miata and the airbag light mean anything. Leave it alone. Usually after a few days at the most it goes away. Knock on wood. I get it about once every year or so for a few days.

Interesting. What part of the year? If you dont mind. I wonder if it has to do with humidity or something?
