Pics from Terry Pham.......

Does anyone have anymore info on this car? wondering where he is running the intake to? Does it go down into the front bumper or something? Anyone know the owner?

He was an older guy. It looks like it's one of the ones out of the monster miata shop here on Southern California. The intake was routed down in there. He said it makes 390 or so hp if I remember correctly and about 400 lbft torque.

390?! Holy crap! Know what heads he's running? Those are some VERY impressive numbers.

Stock 302 power is 220hp, add a set of GT40 heads and upper/lower intake and 260 isn't a problem. Hell, I've got aluminum heads, a bigger/better intake and am 'stuck' at 325. I'm guessing that being limited to shorty headers is a problem. 390 is VERY impressive for a naturally aspirated 302.

He said it was all done in house at monster miata. It made quite a noise pulling up.

Was it owned by an older gentleman? I remember a similar one showing up at a Miata dyno day back in '07? IIRC, that one was an automatic.

390whp is pretty epic.
