I came across this in the VW Vortex forum the other day, and thought this was a great testament to car guys showing respect for other car guys.

There are allot of cars I know, and a few I haven't seen before. Just remember, there are quite a few people who covet our little cars, and one of these days, prices will go way up for a clean NA.

This was probably the best response in reference to the black NA with a hardtop and bug eyes:

"I should hate this, but I don't, and I don't know why."

^^^^ But hopefully we can 'protect' them from every kid who dreams of doing nothing to them but drifting.

There a yellow NA Coupe in there for Yata. I seen the NB Coupe but I didn't even know there was a NA coupe, let alone yellow.

Yeah, there are LOTS of beautiful cars in that thread. What I love is how much respect the VW crowd has for our cars. I know that wouldn't mind a nice VW in my stable... perhaps a sweet 16v Sirocco, or '86 GTI.

I would love to get a VW Scirocco. My father's first car was a VW Scirocco and he had a set of those airplane landing lights on the front. Very bright lights. He still has them but they are too big for me to install on the Miata. He ended up one night going down a back road, in the 80s, and and there was a car coming the other direction with their high beams on. My father flashes his high beams but they never turned theirs off. He finally turned on the landing lights and bam, the other driver turns his high beams off, but then turned his blues on. It was some little city police car out in Clermont. He got himself a ticket. lol

Damn Grip, this one brings back memories. My favorite Scirocco was my '79, 4 speed. Looked exactly the same with tan plaid Recaros, and a squared off Kamei front spoiler. I wish I could get her back.

VW guys talkin about Miatas and Miata guys talkin about VW. Grip Driver, I really like the brown First Gen Scirocco. What was done to it. Looks very clean and highly detailed.

Would love me a HOT Scirocco. I've heard of people dropping 2.0 Audi turbo engines on gen 2 Scirrocos. I'd love to drive/own one!

I ran into many VW guys who've asked why I drove a gay/girl car. Most were in denial after I showed them VWs outnumbering the mazda 3:1 on just about every gaywheels top 10 most researched cars list.

It had a 1.8 16V swap with EFI instead of the 8V 1.7 with mechanical injection. It was a fun car but I missed my Miata so I sold it to buy my current project

Wow, that is one clean swap. Looks like you put a lot of time into it to make it right. Beautiful.

Hmm, I remember seeing that yellow NA prototype coupe at Road Atlanta back in the 90's Mazda also has that Burgundy roadster with the big fogs there too at that Miata event. Probably around '96
