Thank you to everyone I borrowed photos from on the forums/facebook , I was stuck behind the booth the entire day, so I never even got a chance to look at all those Miatas. Hence why I am borrowing your photos. :fp:

Well this year was pretty crazy, we had been adding names to the list from every direction, the 4 main forums, not to mention all of the PM's from said 4 forums, IMs from facebook, and emails from the flyer. We had folks sign up from every part of Florida and Beyond! Tampa, Orlando, Daytona, Jacksonville, Miami, you name it! But not just Florida, this year we had folks that drove from Ohio, New York, New Mexico, Alabama, New Jersey, Tennessee, Georgia, and even Canada!! But it doesn't stop there, they even came from from as far as Spain just to attend! Wow!!

377 Miata's RSVP for Miatapalooza

Miatapalooza was just a MASSIVE event this year! So big in fact that Most of the staff worked a solid 2.5+ hours of the event just to get everyone registered!! And even after that folks kept trickling in, and even when a few would leave, just a few minutes later a few more would arrive to replace them!
I am quite sure we had well over 400 Miatas this year. We stopped counting after that so we could enjoy the show.

Registration Time!

With 400+ Miatas signed up we had to call in the A-Team from TampaBayMiatas.net to help get all these miata-maniacs signed in with name tags and goody bags. The team looks ready for battle with the head chief wearing his grand pooba hat. LOL These guys & gals did a great job getting everyone signed in and set on their way into a sea of Miata goodness that is Miatapalooza.

Classic Mazda & Mazda Movement

Classic Mazda got set up along with MazdaMovement (Heath) and brought out a couple really cool Miatas for the show. The White CLUB Miata with Power Retractable Hardtop and loaded with options, and the Mazdaspeed 1/2 &/1/2 Miata. And wow are these cars beautiful! Check out their latest install of the LS motor into this 3rd gen (NC) Miata! It looks like the motor was meant to be in there!!! They drove this Miata down all the way from Tennessee just for this event! And it was really great to see this car first hand, words cannot describe how clean these installs look, and how great those cars sound!! The Dentman

May all your dents and door dings be gone!!!

Thanks to the Dentman quite a few people got a chance to witness Paul work his magic removing dents for Miatas! Paul has been doing this for well over 10 years and this is truly an art form in itself. To watch him work is really pretty neat, and he has been doing it for so long it looks as if its done with the greatest of ease! The Worlds Fastest Miata


Another member of TampaBayMiatas.net had his 815hp Turbo Miata out for viewing. This Turbo powered Miata runs 153mph in the 1/4 mile, and currently has the title for the Worlds Fastest Miata (with a Miata engine)! It was custom built by Mazda as a drag car back when the import drag racing scene started taking off. Eventually Mazda moved on to focus on other cars like the Mazdaspeed3 and SkyActiv projects. This car was then purchased (several years ago) and rebuilt by its new owner and taken from 500+hp to the 815hp beast you see now.

IRTBs, Turbos, & Motor Swaps, Oh My!

There was so many different tuning styles among the three generations of a single car, it was really quite something to see. From the super clean bone stock 95 Merlot, The slammed Blue NA on white wheels, to the NB Drag Miata, to the V8 Swapped NCs sitting behind the V8 Roadsters booth, each Miata an expression of their owner and each one was cool in its own unique way. There was really something for everyone, if you wanted to see custom paint there were plenty, or certain wheels, there were tons, or a certain type of rollbar or seat it was there. From IRTBs, Turbos, Superchargers, LS-Swaps, 5.0L-swaps this meet had it ALL !!!

This photo give you a good idea of just how many folks attended, this was around 4PM after quite a few had already left, but still shows there was a good amount of folks at this event.

The other thing about this meet was the quality of the people who were there. Everyone was friendly and cool, patient and appreciative, smiles on every face from the youngest to the oldest. The participants make the meet what it is, just as much as the cars do. There was so much to see and do and with all the Miatas it was a LOT to take in for one day!

The Event Raffle took us 2.5 hours to go through, there was so many prizes in fact that towards the end we just started throwing tee-shirts and such into the crowd, it was really a ton of fun for us and those attending!

The Raffle Prizes were not the only great deals at the event. There was various desirable items going for cheap, cheap, cheap, as well as members bringing items to sell, trade, swap, and even some freebies! Overall it was an amazing event. I think maybe considering a two-day plan could be pretty beneficial in the future. I know I didn't get to see nearly as much as I wanted to.. SO MUCH TO SEE!!
