I am considering removing my functioning 93le MSS1 "Silver Stereo" for a more current audio setup. I'll be removing the head unit, component speakers, headrest speakers, and bass shakers. I have the black plastic cover as well. I would like to get an idea of what I could get out of this complete unit if I was to sell it.

I'd rather hold on to it for future reinstallation than just let it go, but if I got a fair price for this rare setup, I could let it go.

Amy ideas?

Edit for additional info:
Everything is working and in good condition. I took a few pics last night so that the lighting is visible (Tuned to 91.3 an NPR station in Miami, they were playing some nice jazz at the time ). One shows just the stereo on without dashboard lights and the other is with dashboard lights. I also have a daytime pic that I took a couple of weeks ago.

The car was at Miatapalooza last weekend and maybe some people saw it, but no one asked to hear it when I was around.

Also, this is coming from 93le #961, if that is of interest to you. I know there are few previous owners on the forums. I have had the car for two years.

Ask Martin.

Thanks kung fu. Martin and I have done business before. I bought his Nakamae Red Vintage Center Console (not installed, yet), so I will shoot him a pm if he doesn't post here.

That looks to be in beautiful condition! I'd hang on to everything if I were you.

Sorry, but I don't have a good idea of price. Phat or atank seem to be the experts in that area.

Thanks for the input, Martin. Phat may have some interest in it, so I'm not sure he can be completely unbiased. I may keep it. I don't know for sure just yet. I lean towards seeing it put to good use rather than collecting dust in the hopes that it will bring greater value in the future by itself or due to reinstallation in my car. Storage area is kind of valuable to me, as I don't have much of it.

I think you have received fair info. regarding the stereo. I sold a faceplate a few years ago for $80 if I remember correctly, the radio is a $250 item , the whole system, with speakers and bass seat transducers could be a $500 setup, but that would be for everything, and the planets would have to align for that to happen.
