For all the NB guys out there wit the small or large tupperware factory skirts we too can play in this world of mods with everyone else......

DIY side splitters for all.....

Materials needed:

1. Tape measurer
2. Electric or hand saw
3. Rubbing Alcohol
4. Sand Paper

Materials Purchased:

1. Dupli-Color Truck Bed Liner (3 cans because I wasn't sure how much I was gonna use)
2. 13 Feet of baseboard moulding (Any style of your choice)
3. A box of 1" Self Tapping Screws

Now you can get this baseboard moulding at lowes or home depot, its up to you and or what's closer.... I chose a fiberboard composite with a small ridge on the edge. For NB guys you need about 13 feet or so, this will give you enough room just in case you f*&^ it up. Measure up 13 feet and cut exactly 6 Feet 5 Inches or 6 1/2'..... We cut the whole board in half in the store to fit it in my friends WRX.

Now jack up both side of the car, clean off any debris on the bottom of the skirt, just to make sure you get the proper fitment of the skirt. Line the board up from the very edged of the skirts and cut off what ever excess you have... At this point you can sand the edges, round them off or what ever , its up to you I left them straight because they blend in....

This bed liner stuff is thick so make sure everything is coated evenly when they dry they should have a nice ABS plastic textured look to them... May I also add that this bed liner also seals the wood from the elements (water, dust, dirt, ect.)... Allow about and hour or so for everything to dry then repeat on the underside of the board... All in all it should take about 2 hours.....

Once everything is dry you can line the splitters up to the skirts and line them up the way you want them to look. I mounted the splitters to the tupperware with the self tapping screws. I used about 28 screws (kinda excessive but I'd like them to actually stay on) 14 per side and they mounted up solid.... After installing them though I had to use a jack from a honda accord to get my car out the air because my car is too low hahaha..... But once out the air the car came out pretty good and it looks boss

If your wondering about cleaning, I used detailer spray and the dust and pollen came right off with a micro-fiber towel.......

PM Me if you have any questions or concerns....

Now here's a few pics after everything was said and done because I forgot my camera the day we did the splitters -____-

Update on DIY side diffusers.....

I find that black plasti dip works better than the bedliner due to its flexibility and durability. It takes about a can to get a whole skirt to look mint and smooth.....

I'll try to get you a pic or two when I get the free time, but i went straight through the skirt and tapped into the factory tupperware. Before that I checked all the mounting screws and points for the skirts to make sure they would hold up to the small bit of weight. I've had the car at 125+ and not a sound, squeek, rattle or anything...
