To those who have been on MX5 scene a while they may remember this old helmut (sorry hardtop) of mine. I bought/swopped it the end of 2009 from Neil from MX5Nutz (Sideways Fast) for my OEM hardtop.
Here is a link to the said day of swoppage at the services on the M1 near Hemel Hempstead (outside North London) when I had my red Pitcrew.

Beginning of 2010 I had this hard top professionally resprayed red and it lived on my Pitcrew till middle of 2011. Here are some further photos of it fitted.

To all known internet legend it is the the Helmut hardtop. However on a small slice of the world wide web information reveals it was made by a Japanese tuner called Kanspo.
Here they are in all their JDM shizzle goodness with a shot of other parts they do (I like that front lip spoiler).

Anyhow it was sold to Clement MX5Nutz on here in middle of 2011 who then sold it on again when he went to live in Hong Kong from Cardiff. It then went through a couple of other owners before I spotted it on Ebay a couple of weeks ago.
Well seeing as it wasnt very popular on the ebay finds section on MX5Nutz I doubted the seller had much interest and I got it for a lot less then the original asking price and a deal was struck and I drove to Andover (near Stone Henge) today to meet the seller as he came across from the West Country to save me a bit of drive time.
It now resides on the Corns Car. Plus points to this hard top have always been how light weight it is which suits me as means its a simple on/off lift and storage is easy as can move round the house no problems. Also I like the hard top for the indentation in the roof line and think the shorter rear end goes ok with the short arse of the Corns car. It needs a respray but here it is fitted. It is certainly marmite and dont expect much love for it but I dont mind it!
