No longer available, but I've got a pair of the real deal M2 Incorporated mirrors.

http://i683.photobucket.com/albums/vv198/aaa-111/blackcubed/5650077245_6f81781456_b.jpg

Took some restoration to make them worth putting on a car. There is also an exact replica without the M2 name cast in the base, and a poor replica that has been available for the last two years in the US.

Some good after market mirrors here. I've got the Vitaloni mirrors and runabout m2 mirrors on mine. Out of preference I prefer the vitalonis as you have more adjustment to them.

Mazda made factory Chrome side mirrors, you can get them from MiataRoadster, REV9, Tetsuya and a few other vendors listed in the "Sponsors" section of the forum, they came on the cars in Japan ,and the UK.

If I happen to build the NoPro first then probably 1028 mirrors, or Garage 502 Mirrors

sweet. I bought the carbon fiber APR mirrors a while ago, but kinda want to go more retro instead of track with my NA, so buying runabout m2s for the NA and putting the APRs on the NB.

HA! Hippo ears. Awesome.

I recently reversed the plastic spacer so that they'd angle down a bit more. It's not much. It puts maybe an extra cm of space between the mirror and window, but it FEELS right. I need to take a couple photos to see if there's really any visible difference.

Andy

Adam, do you have info on the ebay seller you got the convex mirrors from for your Runabouts? All I've been able to find are round blind spot mirrors. What's the diameter of the mirrors? I'm trying to plan for some Runabouts.

Andy
04-18-2014, 08:14 AM
Jamie I asked the same question and he said it was a no name.

Jamie. I was in the same boat as you and bought the mirrors anyway. For some reason if you buy them now new they come with curved blue tinted glass already so no need.

JamieH

Runabouts are made in England. The glass is 95mm diameter; Tex have replacements in flat silver, flat anti-dazzle and convex. The blue glass is Tex's anti-dazzle glass.

Those were two different cars. The pink one was their "demo" car and the blue/pink with the cage was their "race" car. I know the blue/pink one was also sold off and shipped to the UK. From what i've found though, the mirrors on the blue/pink car never made it to the UK on that car.

So, of the 3 sets produced, 1 set may have stayed on the pink car when it was sold, the set from the blue/pink car are missing in action and I have the 3rd set.

Same here and at some angles it looks funky. I don't know that I'll keep it this way for long.
My setup is functional and I can clearly see out of both of them thanks to the convex mirrors but with such a small glass its a little difficult to see the bigger picture.

This car pulls it off best.

So after a 16 year search, I finally have my "Holy Grail" mirrors for my project.

From my extensive research and communication with reps at RE-Amemiya, only 3 sets of the mirrors were ever made......... and now I have 1 set.

Here are my mirrors:

Cool to see these. I almost bit on them, but I was having trouble with the seller for the longest time. He finally came thru on the MS wing I purchased from him, but it took literally months. At that point, I didn't want to deal with him any more.

painted red mirrors.

Funny, I'm thinking about picking up a spare set of runabouts to paint body color. You guessed it: Classic Red.

Nothing too exciting. APR mirrors with Sick auto adapters.

I have the same mirrors but they are not yet installed. Got them from a friend.

This is a "universal fit" that was not very user friendly. They reminded me of the Spitfire I had in high school, so I was determined to make it work.
The bolts for this mirror mount form underneath and the Miata is top mounted mirror. There is almost no room to get at the mirror from inside the
door. Out came the Dremel tool for a little cutting. After that some primer and we get...

The notch is for the forward bolt and the tape is to keep water out of the now unused hole.

Nice! They remind me of the Talbot replica mirrors I had on my '92.

A few reasons i like these: 1) they have cf and metal, 2) convex mirrors w/anti glare coating, 3) they hug the body, 4) long arm for the passenger side puts the mirror where view isn't obstructed.

I still want a set of cf APR mirrors with Slick Auto mounting kit or maybe cf Craftsquare mirrors. :)

$450 is a lot but I bought mine used thru Rod aka Tetsuya Garage for about 40% less than what they cost new, iirc, and they were in really good condition with only some hazing in the clear coat that i buffed out. I have bought thru Rod multiple times so hit him up and let him know what you are looking for! :drinkto:

Maybe I'll post some good pics of mine in here one of these days. Since I'm one of very few that have painted them.

My chrome RayDots. I even rigged one on the dash for a rear view.
I have been unable to find these since I purchased them years ago.
Vision is limited, amn now I use the Longacre rear view more than anything else.

You can buy the Zoom mirrors through their Rakuten shop. Much less than $450.

Yeah that's how I got mine. Like 250 shipped.
