It's for my '95.

Today I got the originale Momo which is 370mm in diameter. Its a monster.

I want a smaller one with airbag. about 320-330mm would be nice.

Which alternatives are there out there?

Are you wanting a wheel with an airbag or not?

Thank you for asking. I want one with airbag, but smaller.

I edited my post to make it clearer.

Does such a wheel exist?

Seems unlikely.

That sizing is usually used for competitive drivers.

Just about all competition wheels will not use an airbag due to the high probability of contact while driving. And airbag deploys while you got into some minor contact on the track, and it could cause a larger accident. Also the use of an airbag becomes useless in a competition vehicle most of the time due to the use of HANS devices and other head restraining safety equipment.

If a 320mm or so wheel is found with an Airbag, I'd also be interested. However it probably doesn't exist.

Smaller than 370mm should be possible?

Who find the smallest? :-)

I'm fairly certain you won't find anything other than a stock wheel with an airbag - big, small or otherwise. Aftermarket wheels are universal fit, and a "universal" airbag isn't likely to be terribly safe. Then there's the issue of liability - aftermarket companies don't generally have the legal resources that auto manufacturers do, and selling an airbag would open them up to a LOT of liability. If your hypothetical Nardi airbag wheel failed to deploy in an accident and you died as a result, that company is done for.

Couple that with a general lack of demand for such a critter and there's really no impetus for aftermarket companies to take the risk.

If you're really committed to the idea of keeping the airbag but want a smaller wheel, you're probably on your own... Have to either look into modifying your existing airbag wheel to accept a smaller rim or fabricating your own wheel that will accept a compatible airbag and hope it works the way you expect it to in an accident. I'd feel safer with no airbag than either of those options, myself.

Rather expensive, but hey, it's the only alternative if you really want it! :-]

I could always source you an OEM Momo w/Airbag, however do not know size...can surely find out, but don't see it being much smaller then the factory...

Thank you.
That is a lot of money. Would get a decent set of coilovers for that.
I better lookout at ebay.

I stand corrected... Leave it to the Germans. :-)

Damn that's a lot of money for an ugly wheel, though. Probably good quality being from ILM.

Ugly???+++ :wtf:

It does look thick and comfy. I dont like steering wheels that feels like like a steel-wire in your hands.

I see IL sells Airbag adapter (http://www.ilmotorsport.de/shop/article_detail.php5?aid=111&oid=&depth=0&page=0&count=3&PHPSESSID=1066b5e972e9e241c76578386996b179). I dont see what its used for.:?
