Interesting, I thought Planet Miata had the best set up!

I met a guy last week at Daytona, can't find his contact info for the life of me. He told me about a full race hub builder for Spec and ST L Miatas ( and others I'm sure ) the full set with extended lugs is supposed to be $800.00

I didn't realize Planet Miata rolled their own.

Was he talking about v8roadsters?

Never mentioned V8 ( I believe his name is Shondel ? ) It wasn't a name I've heard of before. I was hoping you guys may know him. If not I'll wait till the end of the month, that driver will be at Sebring and I 'll find out there UNLESS one of you can tell me who he is before.

I'm in need of a set of hubs ( and a gazillion other things ) Ha, and I thought $2500.00 for suspension was a big ticket

After many text messages posts, and phone calls....His name is Jim and his number is 727 641 7603. I'll be calling him tomorrow.

Don't know about Shantel building hubs, dang I used to date a girl with the same name but she spelled her name Chantel. Hmmm

Yeah, sorry for the screw up, it is not a common name. If they do hubs, they need to list them on their website!

FM lists a balanced hub for $205.00. I'd much rather buy from a local guy especially if he's recommended to me by a top ten in points national ST L Miata driver. If I get them ( I really need them ) I'll post a pic and an after write up.

I talked to him. What he has is a billet rear hub that is part of an upgrade that includes axles, etc. What it looks like you're looking for is a blue printed hub with upgraded lugs. I think 5x is also selling blue printed hubs

All i saw was rebuild of your existing hub, I want new balanced hubs with extended ARP lugs. Did I miss something ? Although for the price I can't complain. I'll call Jon and see what his turn around time is.

Jim B. here...

Yes...all the rumors are true...HRP (Halfmen Racing Products) has been (secrectly) producing some of the fastest (dyno proven) rear uprights and front hubs.
Both the National SCCA Division Champs SM and STL drivers have been racing and winning with our products.
We have done little to nothing in the form of advertising...with just word of mouth (quite frankly, it's hard for us to keep up with demand).
I will certainly entertain inquires...and if you can be patient...than perhaps I can help.

Please feel free to contact me at 727-641-7603...I can immediately give real-time product availablity estimates.
BTW..Big thanks to Thumper13 and Phat for the shout out and kind words.
