so its quite cheap, very low mileage and a fresh import, well been sat in a garage for 5 years before being put on the road very recently.

do we like it? im unsure the rear end is very nice im thinking replace the front end with a decent bumper and you have the basis for a nice car??

The lines are just, all wrong! The early Miatas were all about round lines (bar of soap). This thing had hard squared flairs circa 80's Audi Quattro. Then there's the headlight fiasco... KILL IT WITH FIRE!

I think the majority here have already made fun of this car on an earlier thread. I'm sure the body kit was not cheap and it is unique but it just seems out of date. That being said, to each his or her own. It is unique and given some attention in the right hands, attitudes could change. If you hold onto it long enough, the style is likely to come back in favor.

If you think you can make it good, I'm sure it would make for a good thread on here with a lot of followers.

I'm all for unique parts, but unique doesn't necessarily mean awesome. In this case that's definitely true IMO. It appears to be cleanly executed. It's just dated. Maybe in 20 years this will be the "retro style" though. Hold up, I just clicked the link and read that the steering wheel is made of glass...

Ducksgarden? Are you sure? I've only seen this one from them:

That thing you posted is rather fugly.

It's a lot fugly actually, but hooligan says he is torn so I was thinking maybe he sees something that the rest of us don't and that his ultimate vision might convert a few of us into believers. I can be annoyingly optimistic at times.

So ducksgarden does to Japanese cars what RWB does for Porsche. Noted.

As Vegard says it's not a ducks garden kit. The ebay ad says BECKHAM, which is also what these Japanese sources say. Being the only two I can find calling it that though, I'm still not confident on the manufacturer.

glad I'm not the only person not a fan of RWB.

Yep, I guess that's where the failed car designers go... aftermarket body-kit industries

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but that blue roadster needs some help. If you remove the body kits and replace the wheels it should be easier on the eyes. The back is not as bad as the front. If the fender was cut to accommodate the bodykit and large wheels, then you can just buy fender flares and some 15x8 wheels to make it look better,no offense that's just my opinion. The main concern should be if there is presence of rust, better yet you could replace the front with AWR body kit and that should take care of some problems if the op likes that style.

So: front bumper, front fenders, set of flairs, wheels and then paint

Why would you buy this instead of something stock???

I guess the OP is bent on buying this due to price or whatever reason. Maybe he wants to tackle "Project save the miata" on the side and give that blue roadster a second chance.

im not hell bent on buying it i can just see some potential in it.

i had a friend view it and it is clean as a whistle rust wise and looks fantastic underneath. low mileage new hood full service including new brakes recently.

remove big gay wing and sell that along with the hardtop, nets you a low mileage rust free car for under £1000 or around $750 thats cheap in anyones book

aftermarket parts in the UK are easy to get hold of so finding a good front bumper that would fit with the rear end would not be a problem and i know the right people to find them lol!

however its still a fugly car from the front.

not massivley interested in it but he keeps reducing the price its now down to £1499 if it gets a few hundred cheaper then i may just have to take a punt

BoBo

In that case buy it since it's rust free. Most early miatas have some sort rust hiding.

Just seen this thread for what bit sold for (if it did sell) that's a cheap car for a rust free roadster. There was a chap local to me who had this kit on a car he imported from Japan and it looked better in the flesh. The wider stance looked alright and he had some wide split rim volk alloys on it if I remember correctly. Not my cup of tea but I can see some positives to it.
