No CEL yet, but RPM's dip from 850 to around 650-700 at idle. Looked around and found this:

Couldn't find what broke off that nipple, thinking it might just have been a cover.

Is there a vacuum diagram under the hood? I'm thinking that one is related to the EGR, but I'm not 100% certain.

Previous poster is correct. There should be a line going from there to the emissions canister, I believe.

That hose runs to the sensor on the fender well. MX5Racer has the wrong hose highlighted so I corrected it (No offense and sorry for using your picture). Follow the green line and you will find the hose.

The hose in question runs next to the canaster and runs straight into the sensor which then runs into the canaster itself. That hose is for the vent of pressure into the intake from the gas tank.

There is line already connected to that,

Edit: The diagram under the hood is a bit hard to read. I looked one up online and will probably replace all lines.

Found the solution here on m.net (http://forum.miata.net/vb/showpost.php?p=5774078&postcount=32). Looks like the PO switched those lines.

Sorry I totally forgot to mention, this was just a picture I found on the web. I did not highlight any hoses.

Ah. PO was trying to get rid of the dreaded p0402 or whatever that code is.

I guess that works too.

I guess so, its probably why i didn't get a CEL.
It drove fine for a day but then the RPMs started to dip again, i think im going to go ahead of take the intake mani apart for cleaning and replacing the vac lines.
