Below is the ebay link, looks like a VW based kit, notice the top that has been cut, and on the inside it has a miata soft top frame moulded into it..........I am sure the side view is just terrible looking.

I must say, from the pictures, it looks good. Hardtop, plus the white roll bar. I wish the had an interior and engine shot too.

FYI, from what I can see, as far as the tan interior, I would say that this is a repainted BRG 1991 Special Edition!!!
