Hello everyone,
As of last night, I am the new owner of Rooster: the Eunos Roadster. My name is Alex, and I am a Seminary Student in the DFW area. My wife and I just moved to the area and started looking for a replacement car for me a few weeks ago. I don't get to drive as often as I would like. So when I do drive, I want it to be an experience full of smiles and character. This car oozes it, and I feel like I've adopted a child more than I feel like I've bought a car. I'm looking forward to being a part of the community, and taking care of a car that is such a big part of it.

Welcome to our enthusiast community and congratulations on your adoption of Rooster. It's good to hear your enthusiasm for the car as the community at large thinks it is pretty special too. Our little cars are getting long in the tooth now so we all have an interest in preserving our cars, especially the special ones like Rooster. You'll find a lot of helpful people here willing to share their experience and answer any questions you may have.

I hate you, and everything you stand for.

I'll be in the DFW area end of Oct to visit Vej and Steven and whoever else is willing to meet me. We're probably going to stop at a bar and stuff and tell stories... you're more than welcome to come. I'm only saying this because I want to see Rooster; and I'm not actually a nice person.

Welcome to the forum! I'm glad it seems Rooster is going to somebody that will appreciate and care for it.

Anyways, great choice in buying a Roadster.

You would know!

Alex, meet Phat (Randy). Randy was the previous owner of the car. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I flew one-way to Tampa, FL and drove the car home. If you have any questions about the car's history prior to my ownership, he's the one to ask. He's also the owner of this forum and hoarder of rare JDM stuff so if you're looking for something specific he probably already has 2 or 3...or can help you get it.

Welcome to the community. Glad to see that Rooster is in good hands. I admired that car so much. One of the cleanest Miatas I ever seen.

Oh, don't worry about DK, he might sound like a pit bull but he actually filled with unicorns and candy on the inside.

Thanks for the introduction, Steve. I will certainly do my best to tastefully continue to evolve the car into something special.

Wow! Very cool. This is what I love about custom cars. (Especially classic ones) They inspire and carry a story much like a person. Many have used the word here that best describes this sort of experience over just going to a dealer and buying a Camry.. Its an adoption; not a purchase.

Congratulations on the purchase. Now come meet the rest of the Dallas Miata group at Keller's every Wednesday night.

Give me the address and I will see what I can do! I'm on the Ft Worth side and just moved here.

That last pic, are u sitting in a wildcat?

Why yes it is! I haven't done much track work, but still love light, balanced cars on street. However, I don't get a rush anywhere else like I do going offroad/rallying. This was on my honeymoon, where my new wife and I took this out for about 8 hours, tearing up the Wyoming trails. I'm really glad they didn't have a tracker on that thing because if they saw my average speeds they would have seriously regretted letting me rent that.

Why thank you sir. Between you and Steve, it's become extremely hard to find anything to modify on the car.

Nice, I hear the wildcat handles very good for a UTV. I have a RZR and did some work to it. Its a blast!

Oh great! I actually live near a red NA Miata with a Euro style front plate that says Eunos Roadster if I remember right. Is that you?

Yeah, those were gone before I ever saw the for sale thread! With piranhas like that, its a wonder I didn't end up with a Miata Superleggera before I got my hands on it.

I actually really warmed up to these lights. No one even knows what kind of car this is because of them.

I have really enjoyed the car as purchased. However, he's currently undergoing some mods, but should be done by the end of the week.

I appreciate it! I have really enjoyed the experiences I've had with the car so far. I've never owned a car that received so attention or fostered so many questions. It has been a joy to drive something that makes other people smile. Especially, when 95% of people have no idea what it is. Anyone on here is welcome to follow my instagram "AWBuckler". I post a lot about rooster there. I plan on posting more on here when I can.
