At Last The RoadsterTech Rack System for NA6 Miatas

The Miata NA6 Dash is coveted for its light weight and classic styling.
So much so that many owners of newer Miata's have actually changed out their existing dash for an NA6 dash.
There is one major problem with this dash though.

It's Fragile....

So fragile in fact that Radio Surround Tombstones have been known to crack into several pieces while being removed. So why would you want to mount an aftermarket radio, switches or a set of gauges on it and cause undue stress?

Here at RoadsterTech, we love the NA6 Miata so what did we do? We designed the RoadsterTech Rack system to resolve this issue.

From the outside the Rack System looks like a very good Radio or gauge mount, much like our NB Gauge and blanking mounts.

The difference lies when you go to pull off the Tombstone.

The Gauge or blanking plate and your aftermarket radio can now be mounted to the dash, no more risk of breakage, no gauge / switch wires to unhook and a very clean dash again!

The foundation of the Rack System are our Laser cut Stainless Steel Rails. These mount to existing mounting points on your dash and like a old Audio Rack Systems allow you to mount components on them.

Like our NB Radio mount the Rack System radio mounts come with a custom Radio Trim Bezel. Our bezels are mounted to the radio sleeve via small magnets. This holds the bezel tightly, but allows it to be removed without damaging the tombstone or radio. Please provide the Inside dimensions in mm's of your existing radio trim bezel. (Remember be precise, you will get exactly the dimension you send.)

Also, like our NB Gauge plates our Rack System Gauge Plate gauge holes are angles towards the driver for added visibility.

If you have already mounted your aftermarket radio on the OEM radio chassis, don't worry. The Rack System can be mounted over top of the OEM radio mount frame. That allows you to run new gauges or switch plates even if you have already made a custom radio mount using the old OEM chassis.

they say timing is everything and well I am coming to this party a bit late.

I'm going to keep coming up with more needful things in the future. Just so everyone knows here some of the things on simmer here in the deep dark recesses of Roadstertech. :8):

6. Radiator shrouds Type 1 machined out of 1/4" ABS
7. Type 2 a less expensive one (through our relationship with Andrews Automotive Fabrication)
8. Door Pulls, both fancy and economical (though a partnership with Andrews Automotive Fabrication)
9. Street use Splitters
10. Track use Splitters (through our relationship with Andrews Automotive Fabrication)
11. Radiator Ducting (through our relationship with Andrews Automotive Fabrication)
12. Very nice retractable wind blockers NA for now NB in the future.
13. Back lit switch panels
14. A USB charging port and audio port to connect your Ipod / iphone in through your center console NA and NB

I like where this is going! THough for 9&10, to balance the front you should think about making something for the rear for balance.
