That looks good. I was actually looking at seeing if we could do a meet at the Chick Fil A off High House and Davis in Cary. There is a guy that works there that autocrosses an NA that works during most of our meets.

If we meet anywhere outside of regular meeting place please post an address so I can put it in my GPS. I do not know much about Raleigh. Durham. Cary area.

Let's get this hashed out then. Location, time, how long of a drive?

Muhahata
12-25-2013, 11:41 PM
I'm out, thats way too long of a trip through backroads. lol

Have fun guys.

How long would it take to complete this route?

kung fu jesus
12-26-2013, 10:25 AM
No, no...just a PORTION of the route. Or we can stand around in a parking lot. No preference.

If anyone has a route suggestion for a drive that is say, under an hour? I'm all ears.

I would love to do a drive. What was the route you took with the E30 guys?

This Saturday I am in for a meet as well. Also, Christmas was kind to me; I have a racing beat hollow front with mounts and reinforcing tabs. Anyone know how to weld? I know how to barter with food/booze.

I'm noticing a big difference in the way my car feels with the added rollbar. A good drive might help me get use to it :) .

tsingson
12-26-2013, 11:06 AM
James, you should go out and drive it. Honestly. I do that whenever I try something out. I just go out and drive for an hour or 2. No real destination, just drive.

I'm out now getting an oil change. but I only live about 6 miles away.its just gonna be something to get use too. Its nothing bad. car feels more stable stays flat on a turn. no tipping at all but yet I don't really push it when driving as well.

tsingson

Drive into Raleigh just for the hell of it and then head home. That should be a good drive for you and you should be able to get a pretty good feel for the car.

Boy, I can't remember. It was out near a mall by Durham. Not the fancy one with the REI.

I was about to say.... I'm not driving four hours out in the country ha.
A virginia border cross trip would be nice.

I agree. It would be nice to actually drive once in a while... :)

So what's the verdict? Do we have a route? Or is it just going to be a stationary meet?

JLBMX5
12-27-2013, 12:18 PM
I drive sounds great. If someone can map it out. but also need a starting place to meet up at. And I'm not to fond of a nighttime drive so 6 pm would be out of the question for me.

Anyone come up with a time and place. and who is going ?

kung fu jesus

Haven't planned one as yet, busy today with other things. Lets meet tomorrow at 1pm, Starbucks. I will see if I can put something together. About an hour, we can determine if we want to do it or not.

kung fu jesus

Tim was getting all fancy with the driving and we did some 3rd gear pulls down Glenwood. I upped the ante by dropping the top at a light near the mall to shown him how you do a Miata in the winter.

Speaking of Track HQ...

Here are two videos posted there. One is a 'street' NSX, the other is heavily modified NSX, same track, same driver. The second video crushed the old track record. It's pretty amazeballs.

The driver lives in Charlotte now. Races for one of the NASCAR teams in the Nationwide Series, I think.

My window regulators are shot so the windows darn near stall halfway down; the clock is running out on them so I have RECENTLY set a rule against rolling down my windows for fear of being stuck with an open window on these frigid pre-dawn temperatures lol. Unfortunately I have had a LONG-STANDING rule of never leaving the windows up while driving with the top down. I leave that to the s2000's and 3 series convertibles . Ill be reaching out to a-tank here shortly to exchange window guides for united states dollars and remedy this situation. Oh and those NXS videos are gnarly as hell
