I was told today by a couple of friends that personally know Ryoichi Dewa (owner of Art-Works Dewa) that he has passed this world and moved on to a Roadster in heaven.

If you ever had the pleasure to deal with him or see his products first hand you know how excellent the quality of his parts were. A true craftsmen in every sense of the word. I bought my first set of Gauge faces from him in 1998. And have had several versions since that time, as well as his other parts, like Gauge faces, gauge rings, trim rings and such.

We will miss you Dewa-san

I am very fortunate to not only own some of Dewa-San's quality artwork products, but also to have met him in person when I attended Karuizawa Meeting 2007.

RIP, Dewa-San

Here's a picture of Dewa-san (left), Joe from R-Speed (center), and me (right) from the Karuizawa meeting. This picture is featured on the AWD website as well.

I have the very last set of independent billet bezels/non-glare glass gauge covers they made for the NB--they were the display set. When I called looking for a set he offered them to me since they were out of any others. Along with the panel from AWD, they are just beautiful. I can't use them now due to the SH gauges I run, which is a damn shame, because they're lovely. I have the whole thing (Japan-spec gauges, mounts, etc.) just sort of sitting in my shop like art.

From the latest issue of Roadster Bros, This is scanned, then loaded into a text recognition site (http://maggie.ocrgrid.org/nhocr/) and translated with google, so it isn't 100% right and there are a few words that look out of place.

I was talking with the RS Aizawa boys about this yesterday. The company will fold; it is only being kept open long enough for his son to send off what completed sets they have, cancel orders than cannot be filled, etc., and then it is gone.

Thank you for always using AWD.

This time, it is the news from Kentaro Dewa, the son of Ryoichi Dewa, the owner of AWD.

Suddenly, Deichi Ryoichi passed away on January 4, 2014.

Unfortunately, AWD has to be closed once.

We can not respond to inquiries and orders from our website at this time, so we apologize for any inconvenience.

I'm thinking of greetings to everyone again, and I plan to report on the paper of "Road Star Bros" issued at the end of this month.

We apologize for the single-sided contact, but we appreciate your understanding.

Last but not least, thank you for your interest in AWD.

With everyone's support, he seems to have had a good time every day. I am very proud as a son. I was the only person in the world I can respect.

Meeting with everyone obtained through the car called Roadster is sure to be a treasure even on the sky. I think I'm open and friendly with my mother who has just left for a while. I'm really thankful to you.

Detaro Kentaro
