I bought some front caliper brackets on Ebay. They are supposed to be from a 2003. Can these be used with the stock 90 calipers? I think these are to be used with the 11 inch sport rotors.

The calipers are the same 90+, excluding sport brakes. It's the brackets, rotors and pads that are different. NB sport brakes are different calipers, brackets, rotors and pads. The key is know what you you bought.

no, the 1.6 brackets are different from the 1.8 brackets.

If it is stock front 1.6 brackets you are needing, I have a pair available (kinda forgot I had them actually)

From what I've read the 2003-2005 brakes are all sport brakes and use a 10.5 inch rotor on front. I'm guessing that the 1.6 calipers don't fit these brackets.

so what are you trying to accomplish? replacing bad 1990 caliper brackets? upgrade to 1.8 brackets or what?

My idea was to upgrade to larger rotors at some point. I didn't realize that all 03-05s were sport brakes.

yeah, you would want standard 1.8 brackets from 94-2005
