So after many requests of an easier solution to the Center Brace for our G-String, Project-G finally had some time to get to work on this. We had gone through a few different phases of this project and finally came up with a solution we are happy with.

As many of you already know, when you purchase our kit, you need to custom fit the center brace since all the roll bars are slightly different, and the length of this particular component is critical to correct fitment of your G-String. Our solution comes fully assembled as shown, so there is no more shaping and trial and error fitting. Being as good as we are with fitting the previous Center Braces, we were still taking 20-30 minutes to do a good job.

The Project-G EZ Install Center Brace:
It takes a 30 minute - 1 hour job and turns it into a 1 minute or less task. You simply put the EZ Install Center Brace in position, tighten up the Adjustment Collar to achieve the desired tension, lock the Adjustment Collar in place with the Lock Collar, and tighten up the Set Screw to lock it all together. No more dremel tool headaches. This is also makes using your G-String on different vehicles simple. Since it installs and adjusts in a few twists, it's no longer a chore to fit to a different setup. It gives you a full 2.75" of adjustment. More if you remove collars.

We are doing an introductory group buy on this.
$65 +Shipping.

So the new center brace is pre cut then?

So the new center brace is pre cut then?

That's right. We wanted a solution that was the fastest and easiest for the customer. This is good to go right out of the box. No cutting, shaping, etc. The very first time we tested it, it took literally less than 10 seconds. It will come completely assembled and ready to go.

We will still offer the one we have been shipping for those who would like to keep costs down, or would rather make their own.

Now the rear part that rest against the rollbar is usually different sizes due to different size bars, how is that overcome?

Prime example: the bikini bar is a lot smaller than a rollbar in diameter. How would this work with the bikini bar(will it even work at all?), and if the rear is all one size regardless, will it stay secured to the bikini bar even though it is cut for a larger bar?

I'd love this for my car for an easier setup, however I have the bikini bar for my double hoops.

Just let us know you have our Bikini Bar and we will have one to accommodate that. Not a problem at all. :)

We went with aluminum for the head and collars. The tube is still the ABS we have been using.

I'm in. I put my name on the clubroadster list, so I'll refrain from doing so here. I almost blinded myself when making my own bar when a dremel wheel shattered. Thank goodness I was wearing safety goggles. How people choose to not wear this simple protection surprises me.

Anyway, I have loved everything I have purchased from Project-G. We consumers are fortunate to have a trustworthy and imaginative company to solve our little annoyances like broken dipstick handles and shade during the summer.

Any chance there will be a discount on a G-String if ordered at the same time as the GB on the bar?

We aren't going to be offering any special pricing on the G-String at this time. Although if you wanted to order a G-String and the EZ Install Brace , we would be able to give you the Group Buy pricing on the brace and just include the brace with your G-String shipping at no extra shipping charge.

Ok guys, looks like we are going to be closing this group buy on Sunday, April 6. Some of you have received yours already. The remaining EZ Install Center Braces will be shipping Monday, providing we don't sell out of this batch. They will ship in the order payment is received. This and the first batch were polished at no additional charge. From this point forward, the standard finish will be machined.

If you are on the list and we do not hear back from you by the end of the group buy we will assume you are no longer interested and will be removed from the list.
