A little different angle on rocker rust repair

I made a rocker patch that fit the rocker normally but thought I would try making a larger one and pushing the back of it out some.

I started with a hunk of 3" exhaust pipe.

Then formed the piece with about 1 1/4 more in the back than normal.

Fit it

And put the tire on to see.

Not sure I'll keep it but interesting to mess with. If I had the stuff to counter bend it like the project G panels are I would kick it out farther I think.

You can get some hand operated, manual shrinker/stretcher dies pretty cheaply. Great tools for making bent or curved L shapes. Definitely something you should look into since you aren't afraid to make serious body mods. Keep up the awesome work, man.
