well maybe overseas but here in the states I thought Mazda skipped the 98 year and released in 99 instead??

I think everybody except America got NB in 98... and in 1.6 liter... mine's a mindblower for you US folk... '98 1.6 NB

you mean 98 NBs or 1.6 NBs? Mazda produced ~58700 MX-5s in 1998, both 1.6 and 1.8... the 1.6 was matter of choice... they made it all the way from 1998 to 2005... we also got a 1.6NA even after the 1.8 was introduced

In the interest of international relations and world peace, this has been "fixed". (even though the very idea of a 1998 Miata or an NB 1.6 is just plain wrong)

lol, i would love to have a 1.6 NB. it is a redid version of the B6, with a lot of the cool stuff that the BP4W got, only without the forged internals. it would be cool to have there in the states for the cool factor alone, plus i have a thing for 1.6s

^ lol i contemplated doing the swap last year when i replaced my motor, but california smog compliance, and ECU made me though the iead out, maybe if i lived in another state.
