Shift knob?

I know this is the dumbest topic ever but I can't get my shift knob off lol am I missing something . I have twisted and twisted and that thing won't budge! Any suggestions on how to loosen it up?

It's common for the OEM knob to become stuck after years of heating up and melting to that hot metal shifter. Just use a lot of force, hopefully it separate doesn't end up spinning in place. Umm, I think some people use vice grips and a towel?

I have had the same issue with my original rubber shift knob. I had to use vice grips and a towel. I also lifted the center console enough so that I could get a second set of vice grips on the shift.

I thought the same, then I left my car outside in the sun on a really hot day. Only then was I able to remove it
