The paint was really ruff when I got it, you could peal off big flakes very easily. Regardless I still loved it.

Drove it for about a month and a half and then it was hibernation time... so what do I do I start to tear it down.

My friend almost lost his arm to a piece of glass and his air compressor broke, so after being in his shop for roughly 7 months I decided to bring her home

Put it on the road 2 days later a moving truck backs into a pole and it falls onto my car. To benefit the story it was the morning of my birthday lol. I was a little sore.

The vented windows look great on there! How difficult was the install? Did you reseal the trim with any sort of adhesive?

First one was a real PITA! but the second went a lot quicker. Say a 3/5 install, and no adhesive it kind of clips in place. Didn't get to test them out either maybe next weekend

There ridiculously rare, kind of a you get what you get thing. I'm not sure if the bulbs are different colors or if the quality o the ballast is crappy and doesn't give it enough power. Regardless I'm getting some yellow 3000k bulbs soon! More updates coming as well I have to roll my fenders asap

Kyle, They came with HIDs installed. I didn't even get to test them. But I bet this is the first set of HID RS Active :)

Yea I figured they were in them before you got them. Not a problem tho! I wanted hids anyway so its cool. Just gotta get my bulbs in and change them out. They are great so far and thanks so much jdmp! Possibly wiring the fogs up tomorrow.

So I haven't updated this much because at the end of the last spring, so heres the recap.

My daily was a POS so I bought a Wrx.

Then I felt the miata wasn't going anywhere and this guy kept bugging me to trade him for his srt4 neon. It make 430hp so it was kinda cool.

I then realized I didn't need two turbo cars so I traded the Wrx for a Outback sport and a 89 Mr2 superchared.

So a few months later the miata was gone and I realized power isn't everything. Yea the neon would make you shit bricks and do 135 in 4th and get you there in a matter of seconds but it rode and handled like ass. So I decided to put it up for sale and someone offered to trade me a beautiful s2000 ap1 with 55k and $3000 kw club sports on it. So I packed my happy camping ass up and drove the srt from New York to New jersey to trade.

And I was back into a roadster scene. While this was all happening I saw my old miata posted on craigslist multiple times. It must have had 4 owners after me. Every time I saw it the past few months it was just getting cheaper and cheaper no one wanted it for some reason.

Last week it popped back up on craigslist so I went to look at it and pretended I didn't know anything about it. The guy wanted $2500 he only got $1500 and the miata came back home with me last night.

So thats my story, plans now are to return it to its former glory. The guy I got it back from rebuilt the bottom end but the head is still off so I have some work to do. I can't believe I got it back and I am making sure noone ever does anything like this to it again.

Yea we get a little bit, our weather has been all messed up, nothing like I remember it was 10 years ago. I store them for over the winter, subarus are on winter duty lol

What the hell happened to your car when it was sold? Who did the pink?... and WHY? You are very lucky to have found the car with the wheels, and trunk too. Looks like you're back on the right track.

LOL yes she was very very happy, but shes just as happy for her first ride in the s2000 come spring! :)

And as for what happened to my car beats me lol. The kid I traded it to was an absolutely sketchy but hey he gave me a 14 year newer car with 120,000 less miles on it and a huge turbo lol. Couldn't complain. He had a buddy with a miata so I'm sure some off my parts ended up there. I know he got one of my bride seats. My fog lights, steering wheel, quick release, shift knob are not documented where they went lol. The second to last owner apparently has the sideskirts somewhere. And finally the guy I got it from told me he painted the engine bay pink because "it was going to be his drift car". His exact words. He tore the motor down because he didn't believe the people who told him the engine was rebuilt before but all the internals he pulled out were almost brand new lol.

As for now I just want to get it running, later maybe do an engine swap. I would love a rotary but they are too expensive to maintain/ fab work, an s2000 engine would be sweet but by the end of the fab work pricing I probably could have put a v8 in it. I could see a mazdaspeed swap in the future.
