Tracking down original Japanese Owner - Am I mad, insane, all the above?

So,

I have the original car history document, detailing the original owner and where he used to live, and luckily he was a scientist working around senbonmatsu farm in tochigi (One of his research papers suggests he worked at the Tochigi Dairy Experiment Station Faculty of Biological Engineering and I think he came 65/94 in an FD3S at Tsukuba Circuit whether this is the right person Im not sure but his name only brings up medical research papers and this so maybe its true, also considering its 60 mins away from his old house, most probably is true.

Maybe its a pipe dream but I've always wanted to know what history my car had before it was exported to the UK in 2001, it landed with 75km so it did most its mileage in Japan as its only done 30km in 21 years and hopefully get in touch with previous owners like I have done with one of the previous UK owners who had it back in 2008.

If anyone knows how I would be able to get in touch or would help me as my Japanese is a bit rusty it would be much appreciated

Good news, found an online phonebook record from 2012, I have what might be his current address and phone number, anyone want to ring it on my behalf ��

Ngl all I want to find out if someone can ring him is to ask if he has any photos when he had it, any history and stories but mainly to see if he kept hold of anything, be it dealer stuff, keychains, parts etc

Soooo further information about the guy I've found out, he's into his running, in 2019 he partook in a sprint it seems and well didn't qualify due to DNS as shown in this timesheet but also tells me more info as at the time he was 54 soo currently he's 57/8 (least he's not 80+ and dead) with this info this now tells me he bought the car new when he was around 29/30. Which gives me hope there is photos of the car at least.

Also found out he's a member of the earthrunclub.

The story on my B-Spec Roadster is crazy. Turns out he was a tech at Mazdaspeed from 1991-2006. He is mid 70s now and is retired near Tsukuba and he is still participating in track events in his NA to this day.

I was able to get his contact info from the dealer I purchased the car from.

It´s always nice to learn about the history of the car. I commissioned the history check last year in Japan.
My September 1993 NA8C was registered from the Eunos dealer in Kagoshima Jan.94. In 2000 ɛ̃fini Kagoshima and until 2002 car center big in Kagoshima.
In 2002 it was shipped to the UK through a UK person who lived in Japan.
I have some numbers and mail addresses from the UK owners in Norfolk and Suffolk area and tried to get in contact but there was no success.

I was the same had a wad of invoices including original UK bill of sale as a fresh import in 2001, out of the UK owners only managed to speak to one of them who does want to see the car at some point, i'll just let him know which car shows i'm heading to

Instead of ringing up the dude might grab my pen and write a letter with the help of a friend who studies and speaks Japanese. It's a little less threatening

One of my friends and sometime visitor to this site lives in Tochigi. Not your guy, but a long-time Miata owner.

Been saving up for a trip to Japan and head to tochigi at some point, when the time comes might have to drop your friend a message, could do with a guide and to see a few roadsters in japan :lol:

Well, he’s an American expat renovating a farmhouse in Tochigi. He has arguably one of the finest NB1s I have ever seen.

There was a build thread in here somewhere; indeed one of the finest NB1s around.

Note to self, destroy evidence of my ownership of the miata after I sell it. :toomuch:
