Arrgh, this! I hate it when they gravel the roads. It sits around waiting to chip your cars paint and windshield and it never gets cleaned up.
It was 53 degrees here yesterday. I repainted my steelies that wear my snow tires. They were getting dusty. I fucking love global warming.
It's not too bad in new Mexico, a few snow storms but the roadster gets driven everyday
here near Milan (i live 170metres over sea level) we can have from 0 to 10 days/year of snow... this is seems to be very warm we had 8-10°C more than the standard temperature in this season. maybe in Gen or Feb will snow... i want to test my GV lip and feel like Homer Simpson as Mr.Plow...
I'm still waiting for our first snow... we still had temperatures above 0°C untill today... now it's raining/snowing
That is the absolute best road I have seen:D Cant wait to all my roads look like that, no big chunks to break things on my car but perfectly packed and slippery to have some fun on:]
It was an amazing trip. Beautiful weather, almost no traffic and the picture is taken on a 1.8 mile strech. Was also fun overtaking new suvs and family saloons :stung: Driving the miata without studded tires, abs or any other electrical assistance really gives a good feel for driving on snow and ice. The limit is really in the fingertips, after i got used to it, that is :)
That's a nice stretch. Like Chris hinted at, we're used to road icebergs, ice potholes and dumb people.
What's snow, precious?
When I had my mk4 jetta the front bumper was PERFECTLY designed to take big ass ice chunks and not do any damage because it was bent back at a 45 degree angle, I had a big ass skid plate on the car too so the ice chunks never bothered me I would hit LITERALLY backetball sizedd ice chunks off semi trucks and never was worried (nor did I care car was slightly beat) but this winter is going to scare me so much since my miata is stupid clean haha. Hopefully this winter ends in no broken parts:)
I hope my Miata sees snow this year :(
Just got back from going out to eat then going drifting after. (in a legal environment of course;p) I must say just on the way to eat over 10 tow trucks passed me in a 30 minute drive, and I got stuck in traffic due to 2 cars sliding off road and flipping, it was one of the worst snow storms and roads I have ever seen. With 2 blizzaks up front, and 2 i-pikes in the rear I was going the speed limit which was over double what other people were doing and I was just cruising not even sliding at all or doing anything sketchy. So for all the people who say miatas in winter is a bad idea, if you have the proper tires it handled far better than my mk4 jetta in the snow. The same propertys that make it predictable in the dry make it very predictable in the snow.
I love my miata SO much more :D All my fears of winter are now gone and it is actually a very fun experience! Just gotta pay attention to other drivers and always keep aware and its a very safe winter car.
+1
The Miata doesn't get more dramatic than you make it
Hahah ty! I love my cute little girly car:]
