New serpentine belts to hopefully fix a charging issue that makes the car die everytime its raining or snowing.
Also put in some Lucas to hopefully fix a ticking coming from the motor. Not sure what the tick is. Started a bit ago but hasn't gotten any worse. Starts right around 3000rpm.
your mounting solutions are ugly... but i respect ya' bro'
Ya, I installed a MiataRoadster Short Shifter Kit today. I kinda had no instructions but it went very smoothly. While I was there, I pulled the bracing off and drained my tranny fluid. At 42K, it was dark, and ugly looking as it poured out. I poured two fresh courts of Ford Motorcraft Full Synthetic Manual tranny fluid back in. Can't wait to get it painted so I can finally do a proper test drive. It very short and just plain bad ass.
EMMI, what is the digital readout you have on the dash? I interested.
No, you must be smoking some fumes over there. My car has no taillights, no truck lid, no bumper on and no license plate. What do you thin would happen if OPD found me on a test drive with no plates or lights? They are assholes in Downtown Orlando. I don't even want to find out.
I loved racing my Pro-7 prepped Gen. 1 RX-7, parts were getting a little harder to find but I really like the parts availability and price afforded the entry-level Mazdas. The extra power and gm-like parts prices are very attractive too. Lloyd, who bought the 7, is another mazda convert, now! The Hard-Dog rollbar bolted right in and am getting ready to install the Boss Frog cabin sidebars. I did install the frame-rail supports and they really do work great. I am looking forward to my first trackday with this car since I haven't raced for a year and this is my first track day car in that it is also my daily driver. Did I mention the VW Corrado front rotors. Not on yet but have been informed by EBC and DBA N O T to put them on and that the stockers are better. How can a 10.6 dia. be better than an 11.2 dia. rotor?? Has anyone tried installing vented rotors on the rear?
