On lighter news the "extra special" thing I mentioned yesterday has arrived. A perfect GV Rear Panel in such clean condition I can still smell the fresh paint. thanks yet again too HopalongHopalong for getting it to me so safely. I can put the New York Times out of business with the amount of newspaper keeping it safe.

Weather permitting I will attempt an install this weekend if not all these goodies will have to wait until next weekend.
So thankfully hurricane Dorian was pretty uneventful in my part of the woods but my prayers are with the residents of the Bahamas. On a lighter note I was able to get some installs done on the BRG. I was able to install the massive Autoexe intake and man it sounds glorious and paired with the ARC tube I feel much more power at low RPM. I also installed a DDM Works Cruise control relocation bracket because I would like to run a strut bar but stock CC location rubs the cable on the base of the strut bar. Also it looks really cool with its brushed stainless finish but might get it powder coated Matte Black to have the stock look.

All the GV panels are migrating to Florida! The one I was going to use ended up there, too!
Combination of wheels, mirrors, fuel cap and Nardi on BRG is pretty-much perfect! Looking forward to panel install, as that will really complete the look.
Maybe a color-matched R-Lip for the front, too...

Well Matt your wish came true. I have installed the GV tails and boy oh boy they look so so good in person. They look so old and the offset reverse light really sets it apart from any other car you see on the road. I truly love these lights really makes the car that much more unique.

Also a little something extra on top of the rear lights. I was able to get a Zoom Engineering Rear view mirror in a nice cream color to match the interior.

Also Ignore me in the mirror hahaha.

Looks great man!! I have that same Mirror by Zoom in CF, but my stalk was black so I stripped the paint and polished mine.
I am happy I picked it up! Chris Horne had it for a while and I picked it up from him. It really is a super subtle mod you don't notice but its a nice touch.
Wow the lights turned out great!
Update!
So nothing is new besides the beautiful Racing Mate sticker thanks to Spinnywoosh. I just wanted to keep the forum updated and in the loop. I have a few things I would like to do to keep the vintage racer styling going and I have 1 or 2 more exterior changes I would like to make but the car right now I am so happy with how it is, its such a pleasure to drive. So I am enjoying it at its current state before I think of anything too crazy.

hey brother can you tell me what diameter those cibie lights are? inches or cm preferred
It has been a minute but I return with an update.
First off Happy New Year!
So in my absence I have been distracted by a new project for 2020 something my dad got and we are working on as a project. This will get a thread soon enough. Hint Hint it is a Mazda!!
So for the BRG I really wanted a short shifter. Specifically the angled Miata Roadster shifter but Randy had other plans for me by posting a near new Mazdaspeed Short shifter so I had to get it. (Thanks Randy!)
I currently have one of these in the BSPEC. So I know how it feels and man it feels great super direct and a very firm shift you really have to put it in gear but I feel thats part of the fun.
The shifter itself is a little longer so it sits up id say a half an inch higher and the install is very straight forward and goes on like most miata short shifters.
As you can see in the photo below. (Not my photo) the fulcrum point sits higher and the shifter itself is just that little bit taller.

This however is the shifter I received (Picture courtesy of Randy) it is practically new and in amazing condition.

The shifter feels just as I expected. Very mechanical and direct But I do need a better shift knob and a heavy one at that. I think the biggest JoyFast knob would be best but for now I am using the Perforated Leather Mazdaspeed knob which is pretty heavy and feels great but I would like to keep it in the great condition it is in.
I will take more pictures of it installed later today just was very distracted during the install by doing coilovers on a friends car with my whole group of friends.
