I have been busy at work while base-lining my 1979 Ford Thunderbird. The T-Bird is now pretty much done and I am driving it 520 miles a week. I sold the POS Audi! That should free up a lot of garage time.
Up next is to finish my wife's Mustang II over the next month as I promised to finish her car before I dig into the Miata.
Then I can work on the Miata guilt free.
Wow Miataquest, that does fit in there nicely. What are you going to do with all that extra space?
Note that it also has air conditioning, power steering, and an oil cooler.
I like the extra space and simplicity, that was one of my goals. I hated all the previous turbo and inter-cooler plumbing of the Miata 1.6 engine that added complexity and made servicing difficult. Now I have more power and torque without all the crap. If my wife did not demand air conditioning I may have eliminated that. I am still considering a manual steering rack.
I will be adding some heat shields and insulated line sleeves before I start driving it. (to insulate brake lines, air conditioning lines, fuel lines, and clutch slave) That may occupy more of the engine bay and downstream exhaust regions but shouldn't be that intrusive.
Always a work in progress. Not the prettiest but it's functional and gets the job done.

That ARC rad cooling plate would go perfect with my intake and rad cap :)
Some NC love.

It's a little messy, but functional:

Wow it has been about 10 months since I took a picture of Misfire's entire engine bay:cry: but here was the last one.....

...I really need to detail it. I also want to pick up a spare valve cover and do something with it and refinish the Jackson Racing supercharger outlet. Really need to do dual throttle bodies.:fp:
Bone Stock life yO!! :toomuch:
well, I have a shiny OEM Chrome valve cover though. Dont be hating.

Stock = reliable. That's tops in my book :)
I thought I had posted in this thread, but apparently not.

That flat top intake and dummy TB would sure look good powdercoated black like your supercharger.
I have toyed with that thought, but think it would make the whole engine bay too dark.
Your guys' are soooooo shiny XD. This is probably the cleanest it'll be for the next year or so.
