Ah, I couldn't put my finger on it (*hums Ween*)
The taller hardtop makes the car look smaller, rounder and lighter! Gorgeous!
If you buy the hardtop, I'll buy the bumper

Mmmm, dat Zoom :3:
It does look like it goes up a little higher, I never noticed that. I figured the smaller rear window just made it appear slightly bigger.
Next to an OEM hardtop

and just for posterity

When I saw the hardtop from the front had to do a double take as thought it was a Kanspo version. Rear window confirmed it wasn't. Is a nice looking car.
It's like an FD and Corvette had a baby, then that baby got together with a Mitsuoka, then their baby got together with a Miata.
That is possibly the best looking modern style body kit that has older styling elements mixed in here and there I've ever seen for a Miata. Or is it not a kit but a one-off? Either way, I think it's pretty damn sexy.
Ugh

roadsternut is owning this thread!! bravo sir !!!
cheers !!!
Look closely this famous Eunos Roadster was originally from Body Shop Hayashi, the creator (Jack Hayashi) is same guy that brought us the functional fiush mout headlights and retro skyline looking tail lights back in the late 1990's, he has won a lot of awards at past Tokyo Auto Salon shows for his custom work !!
looking at the wheels, new front, and new tag numbers I would say the car has changed hands once again.

I was trying to remember where I saw that read end before! I looked through RE Amemiyas cars and searched various other places, but ultimately decided I was crazy.
This is the infamous and original Pit Crew Racing demo car.

The Autobacs MonoCRAFT mm1 is my favorite NB front end conversion and I always thought about doing it to my NA one day but they are rare as hens teeth. The color scheme is very Italian looking but I'm afraid the fastback hard top is no match for the real NB Roadster Coupe roofline. Nice try, though. Different wheels would really help I think.

I don't mind the aluminum trim along the transmission tunnel. But yeah, the faux roll bar is pretty awful. On the other hand, black car & red interior gets my brain synapses firing on all cylinders!
