Not so much photo related, my apologies in advance....
Currently looking at investing in a solid camera, struggling with what to go for that isn't going to cost me a limb....
Anyone have any suggestions?? Trying to decide if FX is worth the extra cost
What's your budget for the body alone? Full frame is worth it if you are shooting in low light situations a lot. You get less noise. There are ways around it though like using a tripod for longer exposure resulting in a cleaner image, or using flash. That being said, it wasn't that much of an amazing difference when I upgraded. Crop frame these days are pretty damn good.
I don't mind investing a fair bit if the camera will last me a bloody long time  I've been looking at a D750 or D500 and roughly around that price range. I know that's a Full Frame vs Crop Frame debate after that, and I know that getting good lenses is the most important part. Lenses stay with you - people replace camera bodies all the time. My tech nerdiness wants me to stretch to a D800 or D810 if i can afford it. I've been holding out to see what the specs of the new D850 are.
The only downside there is that it'll cost a lot new and there won't be any used ones for much cheaper. If anything, prices on what I'm currently looking at will drop, within reason though.
