Unboxing - Carney Plastics Diecast Display Case
FWIW I am not affiliated with Carney Plastics, just a fan of their products.
I ordered a diecast car display case from Carney Plastics http://www.carneyplastics.com/ last month and they are just so impressive I already ordered 3 more!
Anyhow I wanted to share this with you guys since I know there are some diecast collectors, and hoarders on here. This is really the best way to enjoy more of your collection.
The version I ordered holds 108 cars and is for 1/64 scale cars (Hot Wheels, Tomica, Matchbox, Johnny Lighting)

When I got this box I was super impressed with the attention to detail in shipping, I ship a lot of stuff in my industry and its always nice to see others that take extra care to make sure the items will arrive in great shape.
Box is HUGE, and is double walled 200-lb crush test, with over-sized protection cubes at each corner.

MADE IN THE USA I have heard of other cheaper brands from overseas that will yellow over time, where as Carney states theirs are UV-Rated and wont do this, plus they are made in America, that Rocks! So the choice was clear.

Once you open it you can see the added Corner cubes, plastic wrap and paper added to protect your new investment.

It comes shrink wrapped and in a plastic bagged for added protection. The Dark Gray color you are seeing is the back side as the inside is mirror backed, and looks incredible once the cars are inside

All the hardware and instructions for mounting is included so no extra trips to the hardware store, and the holes on the display are pre-drilled as well, so just unwrap it and get to mounting.
The Clear Hinge Pins are a great anti-kid feature so that little fingers cannot open the case to play with your toys, err collection.
The pins push in and out so you can always add new cars to your case. More on the hinge pins later...

As for the front, once you open the case you can pull out the paper protecting the front of the case door, and just wow, look at that super nice mirror reflection, you really have to see these in person.
