Big weight savings between the 2 different wheels?
Nope. Similar weights. The S1s just never appealed to me, looked too much like “tuner” wheels from the mid 90s NOPI catalog. The 6uls have the offset I wanted, color, styling, and durability. They also have a few features the S1 do not, like knurling to reduce tire slippage around the rim under extreme braking.
Mmmm - always loved 6ULs. Would like some in tungsten since nickel's gone. The heat shield around the exhaust is next up for me. Haven't had too much fuel smell after I cleaned out the valves on the tank - but still get some faint smells on a warmer day. But NOTHING like a year or 2 ago, driving non stop through the desert (~105F) and then a hill climb. Smelled like there was a pool of gasoline in the car somewhere. Couldn't even get back in once we stopped the car. Needed to air it out.
I'm impressed!
Which part?
Thank you, sir!
Your car has been inspiration over the years. :)
I don’t regret the coilovers, but I waited to get the best ones.
I understand. I research everything too much, wait for the right deal, execute. The installation is often more of a thrill than the result. ;)
New cam and crank sensors arrived!

30 minutes later, I was done. I cleaned the ones I removed, put in the new boxes, stashed them in my trunk tool bag as known working spares. Yaaasssss!
Crank sensor is such a PITA. Crows foot makes it a LOT easier.
