Meh.
Good to see Mike still in that car. :)
Spring has arrived. Took the hardtop off and went for a drive this evening.

I remember reading about electronically controlled valvetrains in the late 80s or early 90s. I think I read it in Ward’s or an engineering magazine. Alpha or Fiat used piezoelectronic valves, IIRC....
I’m considering not installing a rollbar.
Have to wait and see how the prices shake out, they are getting very affordable.
I’m lusting after the sunlight silver and white models. The PRHTs look better in the non-mica colors to me.
That’s not the OE hardtop, I believe that is a version Rev9 sells for $3k. It is nice though. I do love how the OE original HT glass comes all the way down to the body. It’s a very clean look.

It’s that transition piece where the top meets the trunk that bothers me on the PRHT
Bumping this up.
I am considering an NC. I am looking at 09-12 Tourings and 13-15 Clubs.
The rub is, to me, is the PRHT detrimental? Is it problematic?
I know removable hardtops are rare,...
Yeah, it’s a big PC, but I run rendering software and hefty graphic card and RAM. The huge WACOM monitor isn’t on the desk, I use it less and less so I store it until I need it.
Way off topic, but I refurnished the home office. Taking advantage of a decent sale, I bought a height-adjustable sit/stand workbench, table, a 1 drawer/2 door cabinet and a 72x30” tall cabinet.

It’s a FL car. Not a lot of AWD V6 down there, but we found one.
Bryan gets the stickers, Marco gets AOs “pills”.
Maybe reach out to Charlie to see if he has more.
Joke’s on you, I knew you didn’t have one. ;)
Message me your deets.
Superb Owl day is oil change day. So bored and it is 6 mos from the last one. In that time I drove 1975 miles, 2100 on the Toyota.

Some of the bungled DIY ceramic jobs are funny and frightening at the same time. Most are from people not reading or following the instructions, then taking it to a pro and finding out the entire car...
I remember the ‘coatings’ from the 80s and 90s. These are silicone-based and have been skeptical of these ceramic types.
I do know the underlaying surface needs to be as perfect as possible or the...
The DS is such a quirky-cool car. We have very few of them here in the US, but I love them. (Though I don’t think I could own one ;) )
^that.
There are auto importers up and down the east coast of the US, the majority in FL because of their lax state laws regarding cars and access to deep ports.
Look for a reputable importer...
I’ve monitored data through my OBD 2 scanner on a couple of my NBs to get snapshots of sensor readings in realtime.
Same with my NA6 through Megasquirt in TunerStudio on a laptop.
Unless Pivot...
Had similar Hankooks on my wife’s Lexus. Can confirm; not a great rain tire.
It was a pleasant day for January, and I have been driving it in the rain a bit, so it was time for a good bath and vacuum. This car always cleans up well.
