    MX-5 Rat Rod V8

    http://www.modifiedcars.com/cars/535...lanted-with-v8

"This Frankenstein of a motor was dreamed up by Tommy Reichelderfer who meshed two of his biggest loves – roadsters and hot rods.
Due to his job as an engine builder, Tommy was able to apply this knowledge to the Miata which has been transplanted with a 302 V8 engine. And just to mash up the look a bit he’s fitted front-end parts from a 1932 Ford.
The rough and ready look has been achieved by sanding down the bodywork while larger wheels, a lower ride height and long exhaust tips are other custom features.
To prevent rust it will soon be given a clear coat and then Tommy promises to be out drifting in it come rain or shine."

    Edit:
oops! I guess this was previously posted and I missed it. Looks like the pic links are broken now:

No harm, I guess. I think I might like to see this with an off-road suspension. It could be a pretty fun toy.

I wouldn't do it to a roadster in good condition, but it is definitely a cooler option than sending a damaged car to the scrap heap.

Having owned and built/rebuilt 6 V8 Monster Miatas in the past, I'm speechless
    Too many to list
Instead of being part of the problem, why not be a part of a successful solution.

Probably easier to do the V8 swap by chopping the front off.

Actually, he chopped the front off after the swap was done. lol That is my old Miata, and before me it was originally owned by Andy Cork the owner of Brainstorm Products, so it's a bit of a storied car.
