Interesting. I'll have to research this further as they might be a possibility. But the seat bottoms look similar to the NB seats, which don't respond as well to the foamectomy treatment.

Keep up the good work. Your car from back in the day inspired me more to expand my knowledge for the finer parts from Japan. I like that switch panel so if Randy is feeling generous....

Autolinkuk have a set of G-Limited seat covers for virtually spare change

I expect the passenger side is near mint. All you need is a pair of wrecked M-Edition seats.

I haven't seen or touched the car for months. But to keep interest going, here's a new post. On my car I'm doing the M-tuned coolant reroute so I also decided to delete all the small coolant hoses and plug all the respective passageways. And since I was doing the timing belt anyways, I decided to plug the front coolant passage where the stock thermostat housing normally resides.

Rear small water outlet plugged and capped

    Stock oil cooler lines deleted

    Mmmmm. Toda cam gears

Surprised you kept the front CAS as opposed to keeping the stock NA8 one in the rear.

*Edit* Saw your super nifty crank pulley and over-all badass-ness of your engine. So it's not so surprising after all. lol

It was a design tradeoff. I had to decide whether to go for the clean look up front by using my stock CAS on the back of the exhaust cam and maybe even get one of those nifty but expensive Maruha carbon fiber cam wheel covers? Or do I make use of the BP4W sensors and not introduce another potential oil leak path? Given the already complicated nature of this motor swap with the ITBs and Megasquirt, I decided it was best to keep the stock BP4W sensor package. This also allowed me to achieve better sensor resolution thanks to the Flyin' Miata 36-2 timing gear, which should result in a slightly smoother idle and better timing control during transients.

Looking at these pictures make me think the valve cover needs some more work. Clearly I cannot get to all the lock bolts on the adjustable intake cam gear the way it is now. When I modified the valve cover I was 400 miles away from my motor so it was a bit of a guessing game on where to cut. I tried to preserve as much of the strengthening ribs behind the sensor face mount while getting a clean cut. Hopefully I can get the necessary clearance without disturbing the nice red wrinkle finish too much.
