Can this blank key be used for NA Roadster?

Hi guys, hoping some of you could help me out on schooling me about what blank keys I could use for my own car.
I was searching YAJ and I came across this awesome Tom & Jerry key made by Royal Clover, unforutnately it is listed as being a key for a Honda/M360

However, when I compare the details of the key to the Pole Position key by Royal Clover (for the roadster) they appear to be extremely similar.

Any thoughts on whether this key could be cut for a NA8 MX5?

The Royal Clover key (without T&G) will be labeled 356 and is good for a MX5. The Tom & Gerry looks to be the same blank despite being labeled 360.

    Good luck.

Edit - That would be Jerry with a "J" and not a "G".

For Royal Clover keys, you need one with 356 engraved onto it for the for the NA Roadster.
    Not sure about NB.

As the others stated that one won't fit. While it may look similar it's probably either; too long, too short, too narrow, too wide, too thick, or the center slot is too far left or right. Best to get a known key number that fits. I have a few pole position keys left I listed in the for sale section if you want to take the guesswork out.

Thanks Phat, i didn't know whether width and length came into play, just whether the grooves and cuts were the same, in retrospect it should have been pretty obvious they would factor into buying the correct key.

If you're not looking for anything quite as rad as Joelioooo, this MAZDA 323 FAMILIA BLANK KEY on eBay may suit. IDK how much genuine are but these are reletively cheap at bin US$9.99 each inc post. I should imagine they're fakes as they're from Thailand. The one on the left in the first pic looks a bit crummy though.

So, not to necro post, but this thread does already exist, but...

I can confirm for a fact M360 coded keys are NOT cross compatible with M356 coded keys for the Miata. At least not as-is.

An M360 key can be made to work, but it's delicate work I doubt many would be willing to risk doing it.

I recently bought an M360 key with intentions of having it cut to find out without a doubt if it would work or not. After it was cut it did not function to operate my car's locks. The locksmith that cut this M360 key has cut 3 M356 keys for me in the past. So that is not in question.

After I got home I got to work trying my hand at finding out what needed to be done, if anything, to make it work and do it. I was successful and have an M360 key that works on my car's doors, trunk, and ignition but not the glovebox or center console. As the latter two are not vital, I have choosen to accept this.

    I'll provide more details later.
