Are we settled on Nov. 7th? Also, what's the plan for the overnight halt?

    Cuddling in a tent? Please?

It is the 7th. We are looking at hitting the snake instead, the road that Jamie was running on. We were looking at leaving around 530 to 6 in the morning that way we could be there around 10am. They have cheap rooms up there where we can split room costs and stuff. You in?

The Mountain Empire motel is cheap. $60 a night cheap, $30 split between 2. Now, it's a cheap motel for a reason, but meh, showers and beds. And it's right there at the base of 421, The Snake.

If I'm back from Richmond early enough on Friday night, I'll try to go, but don't think it's a high probability.

Where exactly is this trip taking us? Will we be on/around the snake the whole time or are we touring over a larger area?

Me and the girlfriend were planning a camping trip for around this time. I'm thinking maybe I can make the trip a 2fer.

That is from this past weekend. Managed to sneak up there while on a trip to Charlotte to check out a car for a friend. If you can spare two days, you can have an amazing time on some great roads and seeing some beautiful sights.
JamieH we might be related or have fired muskets at one another. All my people are from Seven-springs and LaGrange. And you drive like I do when I get the "Get 'em or go home" mode going. Peace my fellow country-man.

Might be for the best. Even if it was clear, getting cold up there now, cold roads aren't spirited driving friendly.

Amen. Stay out of the mountains when it's cold.
